I hate lexus style lights.Theres a fad in Corby to buy a car with no alloys on an replace the perfectly good steels with some manky old alloys with the centre caps missing. In my old job we had this barry boy who bought a Mk5 orion 1.4 with 4 brand new tyres on,i know these cars arn't fantastic but i would have paid good money for it.Any way the next day which was a friday he pulls up to work with a set of Mundano zetec/si? 5 spokes with all but 1 centre cap missing and 2 bald tyres, one so bad wire was showing through. And he says to me what do you think eh cool int they, swapped them for them curse word steels .Following monday he's walking to work because he had a blow out on the A14 and wrote the car off ;D

I'm just trying to imagine a bright red mk2 jag with shaved door handles, shoddy body kit, chrome 8 spokes, quarter bumpers, shopping list, roof rack, big wheels and no lowering... Graham

This is all a bit negative innit? Pot Keetle Black ... but you are right,.. to be honest I didn't think it'd last much beyond the second page. I'm hoping that Rmad will atone for this negativity by posting up some mind meltingly awesome new thread of interesting things.

Private/personalised number plates... Yet again, man with a metallic black Volvo S60 with 18" dark chrome 'R' 5 spokes and rubber band tyres, and a private plate (P40 MRT) whistles quietly as he picks up his coat and leaves... I'll join you in the corner with - metalic black BMW 740i with Black insrt 18 inch split rim alloys and a private plate (car related - not BMW - ooops) - a metalic grey Monza GSE with black 17's and a private (car related) plate - a White VW Polo with black centred split rims and a private plate (wifes name)

Negative perhaps but in a silly, amusing, non-personal way. I mean I had three door handles on my four door car for several years

what do you guys think of Carbon hoods etc. On a racing car, fine, but on a normal car? And the best part is when the stuff gets hot, it gets a bit bigger, so every panel gap is about 2m, and you probably can swap an engine without lifting the bonnet. And still those barryboys (i guess we dutchies call them 'Sjonnies', guys with a problem with their back, so they sit at an angle in their car, wearing big golden necklaces etc. etc.) still think that's cool... Or even worse then carbon hoods, carbon LOOK hoods /edit: this is what I mean: this BP Ultimate 'sponsorcar' is driving in my town. He REALLY thinks having panel gaps is cool

Wire wheels on MGB GTs in the name of "restoration" .. when the car you are 'restoring' didn't actually have them originally* *same people tend to dislike people that 'modify' their car. Nail. Head. Etc. In a way I've never experienced before - the last bit especially rings true.

Three words: Interia Cills Dint Do all people on ebay selling cars have a different dictionary to me? Yah! I know what you mean. Although "dint" is a northern coloquialism for a small dent. So thats fair enough. Dint is a real word! Everybody knows that!

my pet hate is when numpties mix up styles.f'instance there is a vectra near me,with 18's on it,a cabbage launcher exhaust,no lowering, one of those dopey darth vader bodykits complete with a halfords "racing stylee" carbon boot aerofoil and then he goes and shoves bleeding great red plastic mitsi evo style mudflaps on it and it look wibblepoo. i can also agree with the whole big wheel, small willie brake drums things, and most of them make it worse by badging their cars up as something they clearly are not.
