LOL, I'm faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar to easy going. I think I need to develop some hate after reading this thread! P.s. I like 'Bad boy' bonnets and also rear window louvres I also don't mind loud exhausts on slow cars. Ah well. I also like the fact that most of the people in here who have posted hates wouldnt actively do down another RR'er for any of the above mods (with the possible exception of lexus lights / spinner wheeltrims and neon washers) and would be tactful about it. Thats why I like this place. you only really get dissed if you are a tool

i like everything well, not quite everything, i hate everything mentioned above. in all 10 pages of it. and cars with too many things going on. a red impreza springs to mind - nos, heavily reworked engine, all shiny and fast... entering a soundoff. didnt do all that well, either. whats the point in having a fast engine and 3 megatons of fairly useless ice then?

Idiots who think they can drive, but can't really.
Anyone who is in the way when I need to be somewhere.
People who always have front fogs on as well at night.
Almost all bodykits.
Lexarse lights.
Ironing board rear spoilers that are adjustable to cause even greater drag.
Rear spoliers that look like a pair of horns because the whole middle section is missing - which bright spark thought of that???
Neons.
Really loud stereos worth more than the car they are in.
Wish lists on doors.
Badboy bonnets.
White "racing" stripes down the middle of Corsas etc.
Spinners.
"Fake" brake disks used to hide the fact that the original "powa drumz" are still in place on the rear.
Lazy spray jobs with overspray on everything.
Pretty much everything in the Halfords "styling" section.
Fake braided hose - those crappy looking covers.
Silicone hose used just for looks.
People who just blindy follow a scene - for heaven sake, do something original of your own.

Hmm.. Airbags - can save your life in a heavy crash. I'd rather that than stove my face in and die. ABS - Can brake better than anyone ever can in emergency situations and stop you from rear-ending something you didn't even see stopping. Traction control - stops you putting yourself through a fence sideways! Whilst sometimes you might see them as intrusive devices, they can do an awful lot to save you. They have their place

hmmmm where to start??>....... fwd cars with big wheels on the back and small ones on the front! whats that all about?? looks? dunno about you, but I like wide wheels with enough dish to drown a toddler in. I also like rears to have more dish than fronts irrespective of drivetrain. bonus points to anyone rocking 10j fronts and 7j rears though. I don't know of any genuine V5 lumps...the VAG 'V5' is a 'VR5' and its a cracker. five offset cylinders. think of it as a 'squidged' I-5, not a V5. one cylinder head != V-engine 5-pots sound great and the VW V5 is no exception. I'd love to get a 20v one with trick internals and top end...destroke it to 2.0 litres and get it revving to five figures with a turbo on the side and straight-through exhaust. OOOOOF! *n

ABS - Can brake better than anyone ever can in emergency situations and stop you from rear-ending something you didn't even see stopping. You can keep it Lewis - Any half decent driver with a modicum of cadence braking skills in a car with the ABS switched off can out brake the same car with the ABS switched on and still steer round any potential obstacles In fact in snow I always turn it off (well pull the controller out) PS not bigging up my driving skills or lack of - just fact Mind you I'm glad the great unwashed largely have it fitted but think about this one - they don't like the feel of the pedal pulsing underneath their foot so manufactures have to fit brake assist to fully apply the brakes - FFS is it just me that thinks it's mad!!!

Those big 4x4 Mitsubishi Warrior trucks etc with extra pimped stylee chrome stuff and big silly "bling" rims wrapped in very low profile rubber. ??
Gold plated badges and other bits, usually teamed up with chrome rimz with extra gold bitz.
Those "fade down/in?" bits of sunstrip tint tat on side windows....quite popular added to all of the above curse word.

I know exactly where you're coming from ..........But I suspect, in a real life situation, if something run out on me without me being prepared for it.........I'd place my faith in an ABS system. A computer can always cycle the brakes infinitely faster than a hoooman.
Does seem to help a lot though I've found. A review I read recently said that the average deceleration was greater with ABS than without for 24 combinations of tyres and road surfaces (across a group of 66 mixed drivers).
However, many tests on the snow track resulted in greater deceleration when wheels were locked up, digging themselves down in the loose snow to a level with greater traction.
Don't have snow enough in this country to bother me though ;D
Aye. Lot of my friends have had accidents because for some reason they've let up on the brakes in ABS equipped cars.......Not just slamming the pedal down and holding it, like they were instructed.........I mean, WTF?

Blimey...
The one thing that taught me a lot about disliking stuff was when a friends father bought a Merc Coupe that had been treated to some neon washer jets and numberplate bolts. He was completely unaware of the image these portray to people like you and I and loved them. That innocence kind of stuck with me and I began to love the variety that exists.
So the only thing that I really dislike is the misguided attitude of car owners in general.

Agreed if you've got it and you need to use it your leg should hurt when you walk away My other "issue" I have is with people in cars that hit the only fugging tree in a 100 yrds and everyone says "how unlucky" FFS it's not unlucky at all OMG - I'm out of control OMG - A tree Aa tree Aaa tree Aaaa tree Aaaaa - Crunch........... Think "escape" - look for the gap and if you a gonna fixate on anything pick the freeking gap no the damn tree or sure as eggs are eggs you will hit the tree
