Another long overdue task on my lockdown adventures! The link pipe from the turbo to the OEM exhaust has been a homebrew issue for too long. In this short episode, we fix that with some good old fashioned fabrication...

Something I have to do on mine at some point too (new downpipe) as I have a quick spool housing to go on the turbo but the flanges are different. I might also add in a wastegate pipe so i can see what its like without the screamer.

OK guys, time to kick it up a notch. As I'm stuck on Furlough I have bit the bullet and started to FINALLY address the crusty chassis. There will be a good few episodes for this as its not a 2 minute job. Hope you enjoy...

Tentatively yes, I thought i would get it up early and see if there is any interest. I'm leaving the country for work in October for a while, and looking at emigrating to Norway next year if this virus clears off, in which case the TVR will have to go as import fees will be horrendous! (100% of cars value) Coupled with the fact I am using the motorbikes much more than the TVR on sunny days, it seems a waste to just be sitting there

Still progressing, even though the car is steadily becoming less and less of a car..

So this week we attached the old and very tired bushes. Whilst I have a knock to source during all this, none of the bushes had perished to the point of being loose. In fact, most were petrified solid.
The hunt continues, but for now here's the episode for it. Tried a few different cited techniques for removing bushes that you hear about. Also, we try to do everything with basic tools you have at home, so for the purposes of this I have not used a hydraulic press.

Chassis is away to the powder coaters, so it's time to sort all those other fiddly jobs while we wait:

Been a busy one to get us to this point. Loooong and involved project but in this one we get the chassis rolling again.
I'd love to say that's it ready to throw a body on and fire up but there are some other issues to address before we are ready for that...

I’ve just had a catch up on this because I do have a soft spot for British plastic. The fact that the soft spot is between my ears might explain it. The reason I’m posting is in regard to the videos.
Ordinarily I wouldn’t bother to look at them if I’m honest but I thought I’d have a quick peek. I started at the body removal one and it was so entertaining I had to watch all the rest up to date. I particularly liked your warning about the aerosol nozzle.
Now I’m going to have to go back and watch all the rest of them. Thanks OD.

Thanks Teaboy! I know VLOG stuff can be tremendously tedious and its one of the reasons I wanted to do it, so I could try to do something NOT tedious that folk would enjoy watching. The resto has done a bit to get folk subscribing so fingers crossed we see some more fans from it.
More to come!

Some more updates. I'd love to say that this is the concluding episode, but there was just far too much left to do to get it squeezed in without it becoming a Scorsese length slog. Coming soon (may not be next weekend though as its a monster job) we sort the niggles found and get the interior recarpeted. Honestly, its nearly done!! I'm not adding more jobs to drag it out!

I've had a wee break from the TVR, not just because of starting the Locost which has taken up a bit of time, but because the resto was a time occupier to get me through a furlough period at work. This allowed me to produce an episode a week and I did try my hardest to keep that momentum going. Adding a 40h work week just made that unfeasible.
That being said, its still progressing so here is the latest update!
