Feels good man, not gonna lie. Still get the noia driving her, so I think a bit of R&R with her next month to build up my faith may be needed. So as you know, I did mention monstrous brake upgrade, yea? These are the stock discs on a modest 16" wheel, which as we all know just resembles a 1.1 Saxo on chrome 18's. Useless. Enter the upgrade: The 300mm rotor. Off a Focus ST170 if you must know. Once applied to the hub with a suitable caliper: Mondeo ST220 if you must know, it was time to see if the wheel would still spin. Which it did. Improvement? Oh yes. No idea on the actual performance difference yet, as I need to knock up a braket to mount it properly to the hub, but it certainly LOOKS better.

TBH I don't get why people masterbate over the Wildwood 4 pot setup. Granted they can be great. But without much thought they are can be lethal! I say this as my Escort RST had Wilwood 4 pots on 283mm discs. They were shocking. I went over to the TVR 'old school' upgrade as the 4 pots brought about other issues including wheel clearance on stock wheels. IIRC the conversion requires: - 4WD Cosworth sliding single piston callipers with their carriers
- 1mm spacers
- 283mm discs from a 2WD Sierra
When I first put them on I almost went through the windscreen when I gave the pedal a hard stab! I was gobsmacked. The modduz were wrong! Sure they may not have got the bling factor of the 4 pots but everywhere else they had them licked!

Had her out on the road a few times now. The upgrade has made a great difference.
This past week has been dealing with more run of the mill maintenance. Most of my updates are going to be in the VLOG below. Its going to be a tough venture as the work involved is so much more than just taking pictures as you work, but I think the end result is far better. I'll keep the thread updated, but if folks like it I'd really appreciate subscribing to the channel... its the only way to know if its worth my effort making the videos!

No big updates, no mega mods, just enjoying the car for the summer...
So I decided to share in that too. Who doesn't like an old school V8 howling on full chat, hitting a hard cut limiter and banging on the over-run? Here you go:

Looks and sounds absolutely amazing in that video overdrive Only thing I did notice is the number plate lights not shining through the rear plate

Doesn't have to. There are 2 additional LED spots in the middle of the plate.

That sounds pretty damn good.
Maybe if I shed a ton or so off mine I could get that noise and performance?

Probably, but then you could just save the bother and buy a TVR

Which brings me more or less up to date. I'm off for an "end of summer" weekend away with some like-minded TVR fans. Pictures to follow, then for me it is officially the start of the off season, and winter projects can begin. Winter projects. Last winter it was plumbing in Megasquirt. Winter projects..... ...

It would be nice to have some text + photos rather than videos. I can't watch videos on my PC at work which is how I access this site most of the time, I know others have the same issue on here too.
