Nice another year of 'aggro' to look forward too

Looking forward to seeing this and edk's at RRG. Whose is that estate? So much want for that, I could feel a pining feeling in my chest. Just like my dad's old one

So a quick update, I had a faultless trip to the Gathering last month and got to meet an old friend while I was there.







Adam who now owns the Allegrat had rebuilt the gearbox and had literally finished the car about half past ten on the Thursday night before traveling from Derby to Shelsley Walsh on the Friday and then driving back Saturday tea time due to him racing on the Sunday, knowing the history of this car like I do it was brave....very brave! 😆

I've still got a soft spot for the old 'rat though and Adam has just about got use to people waving and staring at it wherever he goes, (first dibs if he ever sells it!😆).

And the edk83 non16v Allegro wearing Stag wheels, had a bit of an Allegro convoy on the way back Sunday afternoon too, all in all a great weekend and the best gathering I've been to in a good few years.

That guy live around the corner from me in Mere Green.

So last weekend was Hinckley Motor Festival, over 600 vehicles attended and by 11am the organisers were turning people away, I had the only Allegro there apart from a W reg Vanden Plas and despite being parked between two yank tanks the old knacker got quite a bit of attention.

This DB5 stole it for me, the guy who owns it was in his late 60s and its properly used, the paint s peeling and the leather is cracked inside but it looks awesome and it's so good to see one in regular use, his shopping was on the back seat!

Small update..... Not started the Aggro since early October so armed with a fully charged battery I thought I'd try to awake it from its winter slumber.

Ok after a few winds it was clearly not going to start so after dropping a small amount of fuel down each SU carb there was a splutter of life, a bit more winding a soon the E series was firing away on all four after its bit of persuasion. Just need to give it a good service and take the Sorn off then I can start getting on with some of the jobs that need addressing and get some miles on the clock, roll on Spring. 👍🏻

I would like to attend this year if I can get it back together in time without rushing the rebuild.

I normally try to get to a couple of the monthly evening summer meets too mikeyp247, shifts depending.
