Bit of 'advice' sought today.
The driver's seat on my Super Minx has collapsed on the seat squab at the back. It is disgustingly unpleasant to sit on as it jabs you in the back.
Is it possible to do a 'DIY' rebuild of the seat base or do I need an expert?
The chances of finding a matching replacement in good condition are NONE AT ALL.
Pwizzle.

If you have an old/spare seatbelt lying around you could try tieing it across the seat frame under the seat squab? You'd have to tie it pretty tight, but it'd give a bit when you sat on it.
Either that or replace it with a small armchair.

I fixed mine with 4 bolts: undo them, rip out the seat and skip it. Then put in some nice comfy ones from a modern. ;D OK, so there's a bit of jiggery-pokery with the seat frames but I did the lot in a weekend. I dunno, maybe you want to keep the originals... in which case some re-stuffing and seatbelt webbing might do the trick.

As has already been said, this is almost certainly due to knackered webbing. Not familiar with Minx seats, but the straps are available new for other cars (eg Amazons, Minors etc) so you might be able to adapt those.

OK. I'll give it a whizz.
I don't want to change them for something 'modern' as they are a nifty two-tone red and white to match the car, and 'full width' to make almost a bench seat. Deeply cool.
