Hurrah after 5 months in the new pad, Aol and BT have finally sorted out my broadband! i was sneaking about a bit, but was using dial up at 28000bps :S so wasnt getting very far my connection speed was limited to 28000 because there was a dax box on the line ( a line splitter) and bt didnt remove it dispite the line only being ordered to be used with aol broadband! I'm rather relieved to be bck on non dial up, as i was literally clicking a link (ebay thread,) making a cup of tea, arranging some biscuits on a saucer, throwing together a sandwich, eating and drinking them and returning to manually refresh images that had failed to load! anyway hope everyone is well, have noticed a few new names and look forward to some more meets and events, altho i now work sundays, so the local one is a bit difficult unless people are still going to be around after 6pm ? the micra still exists, and its soon going in for a bit of work to keep it going for another year(hopefully) and the mrs's astra is going well, still looking for some bits and bobs for it, like a gsi rear bumper, am still looking for an ascona or mk1 cavalier, or possibly and avenger or hunter!

Welcome back! While I don't understand half of what you said about dax box's and 2800000 jiggawats, I can sympathise with having a slow connection, PITA aint it. Glad you decided to keep the little Micra too, I reckon great things could come of it with the right mods

My mate in dewsbury has one of the late model hillman minx or similar rootes car that he'd sell. Its very tidy has a couple of patches of surface rust on the arches. He would sell it or swap for a (austin) mini project.
