Friendly people who run it, always have time for a bit of a chat. The 2dr wore a Toledo Register sticker and was certainly very, very tidy.

Tell me that old school motor doesnt have an Aston badge on it! Lovely spots there. Ta! This is just an edited selection, the bar is continually being raised on autoshite - Leicester and surrounding area seems to provide particularly good pickings judging from some people's posts. The old 'un is a Standard, it looks very similar to a mildly rodded 1930's Flying Ten I found a piccy of. Man in the yard thought it might be a 16, they'd only recently got it in.

Possibly a 16, but more likely to be a 10 (Cambridge) Liking this Riley RM Which reminds me... thank you for all the cuttings / articles etc - they arrived yesterday and are extremely interesting reading

Austin badge suggests Austin.... That old stuff all looks the bloomin' same to me! I'm still struggling to see the difference with the Standard badge on the car I've got a picture of, but it looks like Standards have a divide down the grille so I admit my foolishness ;D Volvo crates seem to contain what looked like newish exhauts, maybe a dealer having a clear out? On a previous visit they had a Citroen ZX 3dr shell, unused but IIRC had come from a college. What was the Ch4 programme from a few years ago that had Penny Mallory, Mike Brewer etc in? They had car sumo, that sort of thing - all the dead things from that were in this yard, as it had been filmed at an old airbase nearby. Mike, the Colt has sadly gone - I was expecting to see it for a while after it appeared on a sugarbeet pad on my way to work, but just as I left after taking pictures a recovery truck arrived to take it away. So no red beading for you I'm afraid!

That Acclaim looks in better nick than mine where is this? Suffolk. I thought the Acclaim was surpisingly good, certainly better than the low miles one we had a few years back. They don't do banger racing themselves but certainly know people who do, so it may end up on the track? The oval racing connections may also be why the Escorts have been put to one side, there were also a couple of 4dr MkII's.
