hi mate yeh no plans to return it back to original trim , I have owned this car for 23yrs and as yet never had it on the rd I like modified classic cars and not a purist really, the engine is a 1300GT motor the same engine fitted to the classic coopers ive got an lcb and a ford twin choke for a bit better performance but later mods to the engine will go as far as I can afford 1380 possibly . the trim I have half leather seats from a rover 400 and will make some door cards to suit, the wheels are wolfrace slots for the time being and planning on old English white with a black roof . the Austin 1100 or ( ado 16 )is an overlooked car I think for modifying them as they take quite well to slight changes nice wheels ect not only that the engines being the A series there are lots of good upgrades from classic mini mags. I think its the rot and the price of them that don't make it much sense to spend a great deal . p.s I like your avenger that's a car that looks good with nice wheels the engine before I stripped the car with the ford twin choke .

ah back to full size remove img thumb this was the old inner wing I jigged its position in place before I removed it so the new one would go back exact and it worked a treat as the new wings have gone back perfect with a little persuasion

hat's off to you saving that one i'd have to say you would have added more new metal than original metal left on the body!! where you have added flat panels without any strengthening features you can stick sound deading pads to stop it oil canning, that's what l have done on my areas where i've had to weld in large flat panels When you think in the 60's they sold over a million of those and now there is only a handfull left :/ Those seats look real ace in the back and the interior will look tastey
