Wow, lots of work there! Glad to see it looking for more solid. Amazed the 400 rear seats fit so well & look great, love the tyre tread pattern, though sad the shiny cloth & plastic belt-buckle holders look so obviously modern.

hi rob I was going to do that with dead sheets then I thought I could stamp them myself but at this point I had them welded in place so I made a block of wood grooved out the half round then capped it with some sheet metal so I had a negative stamp I jacked the block from the floor and hand stamped with a round edged chisel just drilled a hole in the floor each end to line up then filled with the mig when done I was supprised on how much the sheet went rigid after I done it . ![](http://i1360.photobucket.com/albums/r644/austinmorris1300/feb2floor013_zpsa0eeccc7.jpg) ![](http://i1360.photobucket.com/albums/r644/austinmorris1300/feb2floor016_zps61848e5e.jpg) ![](http://i1360.photobucket.com/albums/r644/austinmorris1300/feb2floor018_zpsbffaab04.jpg) ![](http://i1360.photobucket.com/albums/r644/austinmorris1300/aug2011010_zpsfe6b6a68.jpg) new inner sills in place with the new blocks i welded in the the rover front seats the big bar to the left is not part of the car its the spit support bar i made .

Wow, you've put a lot of new metal in that, and nice trick on jacking the block of wood up from underneath!

Funny thing, where I live there is a White mkII 4 door belonging to a mates wife, bit of a seaside car,---- flat paint and rust stains everywhere, but its not a bad car, there is a partially restored VDP Metallic Green MkIII and a very nice white MIII 2 door, its a bit of a haven for old cars here, Lost count of how many Morris Minors, a ratty Mk3 Capri 1.6 GLS??? Vauxhalls, Rovers, you name it there is one hiding.

during the re fabrication of the front end i always had at the back of my mind extra power the top factory power for the GT engine that i have is in the 70bhp end , some of the mini scene guys are squeezing over 100 bhp with ease with some high end engines giving out 200 bhp with turbos and blowers ect the a series engine is a brilliant bit british engineering its amazing what it can be made to do, there are other conversions like the Honda vtec engine but for now no plans to go in that direction, so with this in mind during the build i decided to beef up the front end first with solid front sub-frame mounts and beyond that i built struts that one of them is bolted direct to the top sub-frame mount back to the dash cross member then the other goes down to a new box section i built over the inner A post, when my roll cage goes in it will meet up with this so its directly bolted to the front sub frame i hope this will give the rigidity i need to strap in as much future mechanical madness that i can only problem is this then opens up other issues like brakes suspension all of witch are standard not even a brake servo standard , so they will need addressed before any of that happens , it will become a rolling project at some point so standard it will stay for now in that respect the mot must come first . ![](http://i1360.photobucket.com/albums/r644/austinmorris1300/austinsummer2013024_zps196f2d31.jpg) ![](http://i1360.photobucket.com/albums/r644/austinmorris1300/spit038_zps93b3eb5e.jpg) ![](http://i1360.photobucket.com/albums/r644/austinmorris1300/austinsummer2013023_zpsb1da425a.jpg) ![](http://i1360.photobucket.com/albums/r644/austinmorris1300/austinsummer2013017_zps545cd512.jpg)

Fantastic work turning this around with some excellent fabrication skills. Engine bay looks really good, if you finish everything thing to this standard it'll be a superb example. Keep going mate and keep the pics coming.

Looking good, especially the fresh paint. Is it going all the same colour or will you be going black on the roof?

thanks for your comments . yes i will go for black on the roof not sure on gloss or satin though ? as its a 1970 i can go for the black reg plates to so this will add the the color theme quite well . would also like a set of black 13" superlights it would just top it off,

Hats off to you, most people would have ran for the hills screaming like a loon when they seen that. Excellent fabrication work, your MOT tester will lay an egg when he sees that amount of welding ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Regarding wheels, what's wrong with the slot mags in your avitar ?
