Felt bad about not posting much, having little car knowledge and commiting the sin of posting a "tell me about..." thread. Therefore i thought I would share this with you that I found on my travels The ford gyron among other gyroscopicly balanced cars. No idea why they didn't catch on but rather funky i must say

Wow... heard about this a while ago, think I saw it in one of those coffee-table books. If I had the facilities and dosh and time, I'd so be making one of these... This thing worked in 1912 FFS Think what could be done with a modern electric motor, and computer control on the gyro.... ;D 2 wheel Robin anyone?

Thats really quite impressive! Everytime I see something like this I just imagine what happens if the gyroscopic magic that makes it stay upright fails.....
