Okay folks,.. I was reading Performance VW last night and was thinking is there something radically different you could do to really blow the doors of the VW scene,.. Not just outrageous (like doing a huge jack up big foot style thing), but something genuinely interesting and different to the current crop of "OEM+" style cars.
So here are the rules: and Pre '89 watercooled VW. Words are fine, but photoshops are better. Photoshops of other peoples words are super doopa...
If anyone has good source pictures of standard models that would also help.
*scurries off to Photoshop*

Mk2 Scirocco: sectioned by around 7", and with a mid-mounted VR6, huge 'bolt-on' arches, deep splitrims, white paint with a blue Viper stripe and a few race stickers...

ok, here we are , no photoshop though ;D KLEs Passat Coupe, it is a Diesel from 83 , has now more than 450.000 kms on it. Lowered, Landrover taillights and lots of stickers... The bumpers are from an unknown Opel, a lot of old beetles had to die for the grille ;D car was made on a very small budget, though it is slow, it runs with veggie oil....

Cal look, MK2 Rocco (Base model without the arches or Kit on it) Just low, simple, smooth, pastel paint and a Modern TDi up front This smooth would be a good starting point: Maybe with some elements of this:

Cal look, MK2 Rocco (Base model without the arches or Kit on it) I think there is a lot of untapped potential in the Rocco... I figure just about anything that works on a small Coupe would work on a Rocco,.. so B310, Kadett coupe etc. etc. I keep thinking about doing a Speedster of some kind,.. but can't work out the best base model for it... Also I'm thinking alternative FWD engines., Sunny GTiR engine??

There was a beetle 'beach car' in Volksworld a few months back...I'd love to see a mk1 golf 4 door given the same treatment - roof chopped off leaving only the screen,4 doors removed and the edges capped and smoothed, striped canopy style roof with tassles, wicker seats(I know they've been done before but they go with the look),paint it a nice pastel colour with some Radar wheels on red or whitebands and hit the promenade

Unfortunately, I'm a massive fan of the OEM+ thing, and the only other things that interest me are Berg Cup cars. If anyone has good source pictures of standard models that would also help. *scurries off to Photoshop* However, I can help you there... there are 1600x1200 pics of standard cars here: www.dieselstation.com/archive/Volkswagen-Misc/index.shtml
