I really think the transplanted and tuned TDi motor is going to be the freshest thing when It finally happens...... Its right on so many levels as well as being forward thinking and very much PC... It also Follows on from the Manufacturers lead in performance diesels......... the OEM+ thing again but in a practical sense rather than just the styling this time Lastly it does show a "responsible" side to the Modding of Cars and their consequent impact on the environment..... like it or not this is going to become every more important as we go on Anyway, who doesnt want 150+hp and 2-300lbs/ft of torque and 50 MPG ;D ;D

I've been having increasing daydreams about a RWD VR6 setup for some time now... Does anyone know the techy details of this one? I know Westfield.de do 1.8T to Ford bellhousings...But I'm 99% sure the 1.8T and VR6 aren't the same :/ It's rather compact, sounds GORGEOUS, isn't anywhere near as wide as a V6 and only a little bit longer than an I4... Goddamn, I want a RWD VR6 setup... *n

Thought I'd try something along the existing themes. Santana, with slim chrome bumpers, 3 bar grill, obligatory lowering and wide simple rims. It was quicker to do a sketch!

The car in question uses the 02a (vr box) bellhousing mated with a home made spacer to a 5sp borg & warner

I thought of this on the way home,... here is the thought process : People say that the iPod is a "clean" design because it has all the design paradigms of a bathroom (white + chrome + shiny surfaces). Following the same thought process, what is "fresh"? To me fresh is oranges,.. and then following that, fruit... so here is a "fresh" 4dr Golf Mk1 Noice. It seems very Cal-look to me. Extra points for the darker green starting over the front wheel arches.

Great skills, and the idea is really fresh.... from the engine side : fit a 2E engine from a Golf Mk.III (2,0l, 115 BHP), a 2P gearbox (AUDI 80 GTE), some H&R springs and that's it... subtle, slightly modernized from the engine.... probably make a 2-door out of it, or a wagon (just fit the santana headlights to a Passat Variant and that's it....).... i really had the idea of doing a wagon witht he gol engine.... let's see, maybe in the future....

okay, how about a silver chrome bumper mk 1 golf ,chrome british sportscar style wires (not lowrider type ones), revolving number plates, hydraulic overriders for battering rams, rear pop up bullet sheild, machine guns behind the indicators, large sunroof for the ejector seat,etc,etc.... Perfect for the daily school run (sorry, but my son is collecting that James Bond car/magazine collection and it got me thinking! ) lol

Thanks for the comments guys, I hope to do something with my love of drawing one day. Back on track, I took this (poor) shot of the passat in 'Performance VW' magazine image a few years back. It was like a hearse and looked very mean. American racing 5 star deep dish rims! I'm really into the idea of making a modern car look older than it actually is, something VW guys can do with a reasonable degree of success.
