My mate neil did a classic one, bought 4 wheels for a mkii escort, 10" rears, 8" fronts, his plans where to build a works replica rally car.
So over the period of 4 year, he got a pop plus shell, started work on it, put the wheels under it so it looks right, motivated him, even got a BDA in there too with the right box.
When it was finished, it looked the part. He took it to Epynt, and barrel rolled it on the 3rd corner, only thing left was the engine and box.
He was going to put the engine into a 2 door cortina mk5, arch it and it would be like the ford version of the opel manta 400 i supose, but he never did.

I bought an owners handbook for the A60 van / pick up about 6 or 7 years ago 'cos it was in a second hand book shop. Not far removed from my Oxford but it would be applicable to a car I owned a coule of years ago.
Most recently I bought some wheels that wouldn't fit anything I have/have had/likely to have anytime soon!

I collect bits from all sorts of cars, and they all come in handy! In fact, yesterday I broke the indicator bulb holder in my Merc lamp unit, couldn't get a replacement, so adapted one found in a box full of bits from an unknown car to fit in the hole .

I've got in the loft, and air box and intake from a Saab 900 T16S (bosch injection), seats for a Skoda Favorit Mk1 front only, in dirty stained nasty brown.
Front and rear I think seats for a Skoda 120l in very tatty sunrotted black fabric, and BNIB a Skoda Estelle/Rapid Brake Servo.
I don't have any of them cars anymore.
