^^My brother also has a complete Baja kit^^
Also don't want it but then he did have a baja till we chopped it up to make it into his beach buggy.
Also kept the roof section and dashboard, although it'll probly never get used.
Between us I reckon we have enough beetle spares to make a complete car, also type 3 spares which we no longer own.
Oh yes and i have a few brand new parts for a Mk2 Gti which i sold ages ago.

aij29 in da house: Who collects parts for cars they don`t have?
Not for cars but if I see stray moped & motorcycle parts I just have to take them home with me, fuel tanks, seats, wheels, carbs, oil tanks well almost everything 2-wheel related MUST be collected since one day I know for sure I'll use them......
DP says: That and helmets, it's like a drug.....

Used to do that......
One series of bits did actually work out.
Got a real nice small racing steering wheel for the Anglia I later bought, then gave the steering boss to a mate who had an engineering shop to alter the splines to fit the car I had bought to fit that wheel...... Tosser lost it along the way. Gave the wheel away eventually to be bolted into a Sandmaster offroad race car of a mates.
Try not to do it anymore..... however I do buy tools for that Project I envisage having soon. ;D

My mate collects user manuals for cars he doesn't have. He even has one for a diesel locomotive... I've got a maintainance and driving manual for an early DMU - the forerunner to the 'Sprinter' style two/three carriage trains. They even appear to have a bus-style pre-select gear system Apart from that, I tend to buy bits for cars I own, but then let cars go and keep the parts. Hence I have a rear bumper for an Audi 90 in my loft (unpainted, as new from dealer), plenty of Beetle parts, a polo wing mirror, a mk2 golf arch trim and dozens of haynes manuals, all for cars i once owned.

Never trust a man Who names himself Trevor. Or one day you might find He's not a real drug dealer.
