+1 for those steels. They just look right in every way. Really like the way this little Mazda is coming together. Thanks for posting that pic Lucky.... Unluckily, it ain't gonna happen - 19x10s! I do like the look though, so if you find me a shrinking machine I'm there!

For what its worth, whilst we were fitting wheels, we chucked them on the RX7 - the idea was always to have a set of wheels to share between the cars and I can safely say that they both seem to be almost bang on! 8) 7s upfront once again.. And 8s on the rear - just on the edge of fitting, will need some guard stretch when i put the tyres on, but there is an easy an inch on the inside, so a 9 would be a doozy.. I think they look ok!?!?

I reckon the BBS's will work. Maybe with a graphite or matt black centre?

This car is HOTTER than a combination of Kristin Scott Thomas, Emma Bunton, Carol Vorderman, and, er, I don't know, Delia Smith maybe.

Rx2s are lush. Much prefer them to rx3s now. Seem a better proportion. My Rx3 would from a few angles look a bit dumpy. It was quite high though, but yeah...an rx2 would be nice thank you.

Thanks guys.. No love for the Seven? I guess they are as common as muck compared to the '2 Adaptors are currently the hold up. They are 4x108 - 5x 114 so need some modifying to fit so hopefully get a skilled person and a CNC machine to lend a hand...

Just to let you know I've not been sitting on my butt here is an update. Swapped out the orange indicators and swapped in 2 a sets of stop/tail and reverse. BBS went on, but managed a fail in the rear tyre department. Tried to go wide but only had tall 225/50 and with the front on 195/40 it didn't look right. The spacers meant that I couldn't get any more dish and let's be frank - BBS RS with no dish kinda struggle a bit. Pics anyways: Suspension in properly and brakes bled - now all three pedals do something! Fuel system sorted and plumbed etc Put another set of wheels on, this time lensos but in black. come off the jack stands, hit the key and..... Drove it out the shed... First time under its own steam for 30+ years - I was stoked to say the least! Didn't run it too long as the cooling systems not hooked up and the exhaust is non existent but it was good to be rolling in it anyway. From there I got her into the open air.... She has been in that shed for way too long - about 2 years or so and the curse word was just accumulating on top. To add to that, there are some birds nesting somewhere inside as I found a bit of bird curse word on the paint - not having that! So out with the gurney: She's alive, and now clean so that's all good. So knuckled down to wiring up the engine bay and 80A alternator. Tail light wiring done - twin reds and twin orange indicators. No legal requirement for reverse lights, fog or reflectors at this age. And put some new boots on. The 17x7 and 205/40 combo was still too big and catch on turns which I didn't realise as I didn't actually drive with them on. Opinions will surely vary, but at 16x7 ET15 with 195/40-16 they fit pretty good and clear in all the right directions. I already have a back up coming though so will post pics of the new set up once they arrive...

Great to see it again & still looking nice. Parade of wheels verging upon absurd at times, (no harm trying), must admit the Lenso's looked good with black centres & the BBS, if they were smaller/fit.

Of the wheels shown in this latest update, the Lensos get my vote for looking just right. That rear end looks delicious now too, another set of rear lights to add to my growing list of options for the back of the Princess I think.
Got to feel good to get back on to your project after the break you've had from it.

Nice restoration, with subtle mods.
I would go for Enkei 92 alloys with 195/55R15 tyres, these would do the job for me.
