Glad to know it's not just me then ;D It could be worse I could have a crack addiction, though that would probably be cheaper Yeah all those lucky gits that get given free cars don't have to count them, buying a car is a conscious decision, being given a car is fate I actually think addiction is probably not too strong a term to describe it, I guess I get a buzz out of bidding on E-bay (gambling) then winning something and having to drive back from the middle of nowhere wondering if its going to break down (more gambling) then once you have had the car a few months the novelty has worn of you have to repeat the whole process again. so true! although i get the same buzz with free cars "is there a reason this seemingly perfect car was free...?"

I've wanted to buy something every week. But I have a missus who doesn't appreciate the "Arfur Daley" in every bloke. And whenever I get ready to press the "bid" or "B.I.N" button I get that look which withers my nuts to raisins and I back away from the mouse.

Not for a while, but then including the two current ones, I've only owned 4 cars in total & one was just a spares car. However if we're talking about plastic model kits of cars, that's another story

I think I've had about 150 or more cars in the last 20 years. I'll have a count up soon as I'd be interested to know. Last time I tallied them up was about 3 years ago and it stood at over 130 then. I've only bought two so far this year though. Might managed another before the end of the month though

I think a year - it must have been about that long between buying my 1850 then buying the Sprint as an interim. I had 3 cars last year......Well, 4 if you include the white one which I sold! If only I had a garage at uni with a toolkit to wheel and deal from Would play lots more.

Ive slowed down quite a bit recently, 1 every 6 months say. I used to be terrible though. If someone offered me a car and I could see it was a good price I had to have it at all costs. I ended up with a yard full of scrap that would never see the road again. Probably a good job I have limited space now so I can focus on and enjoy the cars ive got rather than going on a binge buying tat bonanza every time I have some cash on me.

Longest ever was two and a half years, after I got my first Sierra (still have it). Also kept my mk6 Escort two years but it'd been off the road (unreliable) while I drove a £200 Sierra for my then-80 mile round trip to work!
Since october '05 I've bought a mk1 Escort, three Sierras (only one still here though!), and p/ex'd a mk1 Fiesta. Tomorrow I'm either picking up a satin black, slammed mk1 Fiesta, or a 19,000 mile "as-new" Astra "F" 2.0 CDi. Neither of which I really need....

Actually, now I think about it, I'm not doing too bad (even on the retros front) Only been driving for 5 years. Owned 120L that I did extra practice in before test then drove for 6 months. 136 MK1 Favorit forum. Played with rally shocks and bucket seats with that. Saab 900 T16S Nice car, leaked oil. Didn't discover where from until the day the next owner came to pick up. 1990 Celica GT4 ST185. Went mad on that, spent about £2k (brakes, Suspension, gauges, upped boost, shiney stainless bits for engine, dump valve) on top of a £1700 car, but stupidly only got £1600 back for it as you do. 1992 Saab 900 T16S convertible. Loverly car if you could ignore the leaky rotten roof, and the rusted out A pillars and the milky windscreen that suggests the A pillars had taken a knock. Kind of scared me off blind bought long distance ebay retros Sold on Ebay to a German Saab enthusiast. Now my Octavia which is too new, reliable and bland for me and will be going for something big 4x4 and either diesel or LPG, wafty sofa on wheels and real Ghetto Limo. just as soon as I grow cojones to hit the BIN button.
So, 6 cars in 5.5 years and planning number 7. Yes, I passed late, so I'm trying to experience all those cars I shouls have had, or lusted after as a teen ager.
Must get the retro tat list up a bit though.

To get a standard A40 this low, you'd have to dig a hole to put it in
