Been compiling a file of those pics off of 28days for a while now.....living as I do some 3m from 'The Austin' it's had a massive impact round here, so as well as fascinating, I find it all rather poignant.

lol I'm attualy a 28dl regular and Ive been to longbridge once. Its even more amazing 1st hand! Your a little late to see it at its best as its all starting to be removed now.

Blimey, read this excerpt: 'Finally, I ended up in the rally prep room, which was a mission. One used and stripped car, and one brand new bodyshell with roll cage, freshly painted. All the components needed were stored in there. There were rollcages, body parts, Ford Mustang V8 engines (?). I got everyone else in, but we all had to leave sharpesh so not many pictures...' Surely this stuff isn't still left there lying around. If so, why weren't the employees allowed to buy or maybe 'borrow' them? There are some historically significant items of the future there. I agree, the photography is fantastic. Whoever took those knows exactly what they are doing. Top class. Mike

I would be on a mission to "aquire" a 75amp alternator for my brothers Rover 25 that is dead in my drive ! How do you get to wonder round such a place with all that stuff lying around ?
