Huzzah! I,ve just bought a load of old group B tuning stuff for hte old ZS (it's like Christmas!!). Picking it all up on Sunday. The guy also has a strack of about 25 minilite wheels for his old Samba which will fit the ZS. Now I love the standard Amil alloys but I also love minilites, so out with the photoshop and on with the voting. Are they better/worse/the same. Should I/shouldn't I It's a choice! ta

Oooh, tough choice..... they both look great but if I was forced to make a decision I would go with the Amils. Then again, you could have tyres put on the minilites and change them whenever you feel like it!

On reflection the Amil rims look better, maybe its the white wheels off the blue body that sets it off.
Mind you I would say that wouldn't being a 106 Rallye owner. ;D
I reckon some white 13 dot wellers would look pretty good on there too.

I agree with datsuncherry, the white Amils really suit it, more angular fitting in well with the general appearence of the car. Am having the same problem with my Golf, 15" ATS cups or 15" BBS G60 split rims .

Amils get my vote...but don't miss out on the Minilites, it'd be nice to be able to change the look whenever you feel like it.

Looks like the Amils have it.
the chap has 25 of the minilites at £25 a throw(!!) so I am tempted. However have just bought a full group B manifold and exhaust and a set of lowered tarmac springs and dampers. Could spend the £100 the wheels would cost on a set of group B vented discs and 4 pot calipers.
Decisions decisions
btw the minilites are three stud fittings and only fit onto the 104/Samba/Visa sin case anyone was getting their cheque books out!

To be honest I'd stay with the Amils. They're more unusual on an old car, every rally/race look car has had minilites at some time. The Amils are nice anyway.

Offer him £50 for a set when you pick the other stuff up...there can't be that many buyers about.

Amils for sure but the minilites might look good in a graphite colour on it.

I would also have to say Amil. I would also agree on trying to get the minilites anyway just incase you want to a different look every other day, to confuse your locals in thinking there's two different cars like yours getting around

Definately the Amils - The sharp lines match the styling of your car much better than the soft shaped spokes of the Minilites. Also, I think that Minilites (or Minilite lookalikes) are very cliched on old cars; your car is very rare, as are your existing wheels - even though Minilites are rare on a car like yours, they are a very common alloy wheel. A large majority of Spridgets that have alloys, are fitted with Minilites. A select few have Cosmics, which look great, but except for my own car, I haven't seen any other 13" Mamba wheels - a few Minis with the 10" version, but that's it. ;D

hey Amazon
I used to have a british racing green 1275 midget (round wheel arch with mambas on. Bought it as a parts car for my other 1275 (whch had rostyles) Didn't really go for the Mambas at the time and the car was eventually scrapped. Time and maturity has changed my mind though. Doh!
