haha ed thats an awesome pic! i prefer 13s, dish and chunky tires with white letters! oh and apparently the engine mountings and loom and pretty much everything is different between a crossflow and a pinto not straight forward! p.s cheers for the info nightmare, seen some of your projects that look the dogs. especially that matte black mk3!

I think you should go with 15" steels that are either flipped or banded, and a nice dog dish cap. Retro with a modern twist. Tell me how large the wheels that are on it atm is and i'll do photoshop

eng mounts will swap & wiretng only needs coil lead ,oil light &temp lead lengthening as there on opposite sides. really needs frt springs swapping as the ohc is heavier & will cause some nose diving under braking.

wow I'm actually embarrassed about how long its taken me to actually start work on my car..but anyway I've finally swapped the engine for a 2.0 pinto with some fast road cams in and a few other bits the person who knows about engines said and something about 130/140 bhp so that should be interesting when its finally on the road. Welded the rear arch up last week and started finding out the extent of the rot and patching bits up. Only being able to work on it on saturdays is kind of annoying, cant get stuck in! but plodding on! pics to follow.

Looks like a good project. I think it could work well on the 17's if you lowered, kind of Australian style.
