Hi guys... anyone got any interesting ideas for seats ? Black leather is my preference - liking the Mx-5 and Porsche style with all-in-one headrest... I'm open to all ideas... somewhere between the ideas above and classic retro buckets is my target range... Any ideas / links... There were some on a while ago (J-thread I think) red with holes and some other retro rarities... Obviously if you have some for sale, let me know !! ;D ;D Cheers Rob

Those are the coolest seats I've seen! Would look be ideal for Dad's Riley VSCC special too ;D
Do you know anything more about them? They look like they could be very early Spridget frames

Sorry I have no idea where they come from or who made them but this is what they were in. Maybe one of our air-cooled buddies might know?

modified austin healey with home made pads, I think. the new pics appear to confirm that too! ;D Mine still have the trim on, so wasn't sure what the naked backrest frame looks like

the article said 'loosely based on' and they were drilled, so i don't know how modded they are.

cant be that difficult to copy, if ur a copy cat that is, u could do verticle padding so its that bit different

thats not the first time ive seen seats like that anyway. I think a whole host of early brit sports cars used steel seats like these didnt they? I'm pretty sure e types did. Any would do, just strip and paint/trim to suit.

^^that reminds me of a melted jelly baby haha, I don't think its a bad looking seat tho Sort of see the resemblence there LOL. they look a bit skinny but guess they have been designed for sports cars. good selection on that site though, i quite like the classic buckets.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

the article said 'loosely based on' and they were drilled, so I don't know how modded they are. The alterations will be the holes in the backrest, & possibly also the strengthening ribs - I'd be very surprised if there were other changes. As for the origins, they're the seats fitted to the AH Sprite Mk1 & MK2, and MG Midget Mk1
