This is highly amusing. The official Prime Minister's website has a facility to create your own petition. So far over 55,000 people have signed up to ask him to stop road-pricing. If you've a mind to join them, click here: petitions.pm.gov.uk/traveltax/Cheers Graham PS Apols if this has already been posted!

Mad that isnt it, set up by a regular dude though I guess, theres and ID card one too check my sigs \/. please sign these things for the countrys peoples future! only takes a minute, I for one am very worried. So are the 57,000 and that does not include those 'too busy' to bother, those who believe 'theres no point cos it wont make a difference', and those who go no where near computers. I doubt theres many who like the idea, but yours and your friends family etc names needs adding to these petitions, before we all turn into Patrick McGoohan. from this: to this:

I havent got any pictures of this but what about the bit where McGoohan goes into the office - (Just after getting out of the Lotus 7 - see how I tenuosly try to avoid going O.T.) with his resignation and bangs his fist on the desk, the stiff behind the desk ALMOST sees his cup of tea go over as a result! As it is just a bit splashes over onto the saucer, PHEW!
Seriously The Prisoner was ace and if we do all get turned into No.6 at least we`ll have Mini Mokes to drive about in!
Ok I`ll go and sign it - it might be futile but like reanimation said its not exactly a mammoth task and you never know.

Basically all the reasoning was spurious, it was going to cost a fortune, cause loads of problems only for law abiding citizens, and (as usual) be a complete waste of time. Also yet another piece of legislation at the (getting less) thin edge of the wedge towards an Orwellian 1984 state.

You'll note in today's news that the Government has decided to scrap the ID card program... RLY?? Thank FCUK for that! Hope its really the end of it. lets celebrate! I agree with taking odd pariculars of actual real crims as they find em in a kind of collect-as-you-go ID scheme. get arrested, get done, police collect more info investigat and knock down ya benefits! WIN! when they learn how to use, look after and not abuse systems I might have bean of trust. Keep signing gang, and i'll try save for a '7' for us to play in.

I've signed the petition. If the govermnent see how much people oppose this road-pricing scam then there's a slim possibility they may change their minds... although the will of the people has never seemed to factor into their decisions before, we can only hope You'll note in today's news that the Government has decided to scrap the ID card program... As I understand it, they've only decided to scrap the plan for one huge database (due to massive costs), and are still pressing ahead with the overall scheme. But as I'm veering way off topic, www.no2id.net has a good forum for discussing this issue and has plenty of information on the subject. (Sorry for O/Tness
