When this is your 1982 vehicle. then a snazzy modern MP3 player just doesn't cut the mustard, one needs a music player far more in keeping with the vintage of the rust. Something like this: Far more suitable I'm sure you agree, but who wants to miss out on 60gb of modern convenience. Well now, you don't have to! Simply attach said device through the tape player adaptor - ta da! ;D the things you do on a Friday afternoon...... James

That's the way! Always wanted one of those Walkman Sports when I was at school. What's next? A 12in black and white with a mini plasma? Gas cooker with microwave hidden inside?

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Nice! Now I just need someone to cram my modern mp3/wma and aux slot head unit into something that looks like one of those push button radios!

Hey thats great! I remember those walkmns, ace! Question: Is it possible to just run a walkman/MP3 player instead of a car stereo all together? Through the car speakers I mean?

yes, you have to have an amp to power the speakers though. Aah right, cheers So a walkman would just plug into the amp, and the amp is connected to the speakers..... wouldn't the batteries go down uber fast? Sorry for the hijack with my 'speshul' questons

Brilliant! Does it mean you have to play The Kids From Fame, Survivor and Shalimar tracks on it though?? ;-)

i used to run my laptop through my amps as a music player so pretty much anything that has a headphone out can be used.
nice idea that is, stealthed modern music, I'm hoping to buy a 70's yank so i been wondering about cutting an 8 track about so i can fit a hinge and have a mdern player behind it.

Volvo back as my main squeeze, more boost and some interior goodies on the way.
