	Getting some of my SIMCAS ready for the Chesterfield French Car Day at Staveley Hall (S43 3TN on A619 3 or 4 miles from Junction 30 on roundabout near Staveley Church). on sunday 14th August 10.00 to 16.00. I'll be taking the racing SIMCA Rallye 2 on the trailer behind my SIMCA/Talbot pickup and I've got 'drivers' lined up to take my Road rallye and 2 the modified 1000GLS.

	A bit closer, held up today while swapping bits from the original '72 engine to the later '76 Rallye 2 engine made me realise just how many 'fiddly bits' SIMCA managed to change over a few years.

	Sorted exhaust, carb linkage and 'plumbing' today. once dynamo is fitted and distributor swapped from other engine should be ready to fire up tomorrow??
