Hey, well long story short, turbo produced too much boost low down, manifolds leaked kept damaging gaskets, to overcome means new manifolds with one combined flange meaning the injection inlet one I made up would be useless so wanted to use that at least for awhile. whilst driving around slowly I decided that actually a good time to investigate supercharger which Ive always wanted to do. Will be interesting to see anyhow, then theres always a possibility of building a twin charged set up too in the future! Slot, Ill pm you, I'm not a keyboard idiot like some Be interesting to see the comparison.

Ta Da! found it, basically whilst messing around with pulleys I managed to knock out the key into the sump! in the end it was resting on top of the oil pump  but now I'm gutted as its become apparent that it cant be refitted without at least removing the seal :x I had a 10 min try and failed each time resulting in fishing it out of the oil and water in the tray below  Nice and organised working conditions.... So its looking like I need to get a new seal so will get that at the same time as some shims, which leads me on to the next job of checking the gaps once again. Had a little play measuring things up.

Its been awhile well three out of four shows done in august over 1000 miles completed in one month and now starting to run slightly chuggy, over fulling and generally being naughty! Last show this weekend so Ill probably run it in open loop mode as I think the most probable cause is the exhaust manifold braking up as thats old rough and wouldnt be surprised if its cracked somewhere pre lamdba! from prescott RR13 Once August is over tax will have run out not renewing until next year when its free! So its get working on it over winter lots to do including the poopercharger! Anyone else got pics from rr13? or vids of my one and only run chris

refitted new lid to cut out for new pulley if needed, looks like its only the return lip near the pulley needing to be removed which is nice pulley back on without knocking the key out, only really playing as the engine has to come out yet and pulled apart! erm then I took tank and pedals out to do this Bonnet on for the hell of it some chopping and welding which is now done but much more mods needed!!

Ginetta's hold a special place for me I grew up in Witham Essex where the factory was until around 1985 as a preschool boy I used to make my mum walk all the way down the high street so I could grip the railings and peer through the factory window until she dragged me off. Lovely looking cars too I'd love a g27 or g33.
Looks great keep up the good work.

Well pedals are done and painted, will be final fitted newt year when I cut the carpet to suit, but all done with lines running to the correct places etc and mounting holes made. So Ive took the engine back out, car will be removed from the garage tomorrow so I can work on the engine easily then move the imp up to mine for work. then I had a little chop of some 3mm mild steel plate which Ill use to mount the charger onto. Then, and now I'm quite proud of this since it went perfectly, I made the outlet flange, gotta love a bit of saturday flange.... After lots off cutting, filing, drilling 1.5hours later! and it fits with upper most awesomeness Will wait to make the outlet pipe until its mounted on the car with belts and tensioners in place etc so I know it will be right. Cheers chris

Well with the car out of the way I went to sort the garage out a little tonight and ended up just working on the engine instead lol Head off, all looking nice and sound inside as hoped/usual Started to clean up one side then decided to give up for the night, 40 mins total well spent anyhow. Yes I only had one run on the afternoon session, shame it was a untimely mess.... GREAT SHOW THOUGH, Will be there next year but firmly static only

Finally got an hour in the garage again after loosing the weekend to busy grown up jobs Started by putting on a spare front cover and the sump to mock things up for the s/c mounts to see if my head based visions will work or not!! firstly the plate, this is looking rough due to the fact it is really rough lol, once the charger is mounted in the correct place and the plate secured Ill be able to shape it and lighten it a little to make it look neater Need to find the correct thread on the block side as Ive only got one bolt that fits and no gauges! Anyone on here know what it is? Under the plate will be two mounts on to the sump, the sump will have little square load plates welded on then the posts which will be bolted to the plate making the plate fully removable. Then I accessed my brain again for the s/c mounting posts, the orientation of the charger means 4 posts 90mm long posts.... Then quickly tack welded to see if I was right, just need to finish this one off then 3 more, wire stuck in the welder so couldnt finish this one off, think I had the heat settings too high for what I was doing and the wire speed maxed out which was too low lol, Ill set it properly when I come to do the lot of them and I'm not rushing, still it is welded fine I'm just fussy. That was tonight, next up Ill cut more posts hopefully tomorrow.

don't follow it too much, care must be taken as I just make it all up as I go along, sod knows if itll work! Tonight was a little premature eye eye! Started by chopping tube up as per the first post for the other 3. tacked one post then starting the next I ran outa gas, poo. So I decided that three would be a good enough amount to start eyeing up the location of the sc on the plate. So instantly you can see Ill be able to trim the plate by quite a bit, out of interest I quickly weighed the current assembly which is minus the inlets and outlets finished ect...... 7.7kg!! Erm ever get that feeling the blocks gonna crack lol. So carrying on I used some high tech methods to line up the pulleys..... following on with penning around the posts for the locations, its at this point I realised that the side nearest the sump is 6mm narrower on the flange bolt holes meaning that I need to make two posts slightly longer to level up* the charger. *Level up a loosly used term. Anyhow mildly confidant I removed the plate, used my awesome outlet plate to ensure I was drilling the holes in the correct place, looked the other way and drilled the holes. More gas tomorrow then, Ive cut the correct length needed and the one which is to short i can cut in half and use on the sump so not all lost! Then i need a belt, a tensioner, and see if my alternator will still fit, which is currently doubtful haha. May put it on the other side of the engine, rather not though
