Hmmmm. Cynical mode on, I'l believe the 'lifting wheels' thing when i see it! However, xr2 cossie is still a winner. as long as it looks like a nice, well kept xr2 from outside. would the standard fester wheels fit on cossie running gear? how about the width difference for the axle? would a 4x4 donor not have made it a total and utter winner? we need to know more

full on racing on roads is not cool but this Fiesta sounds like a right pocket rocket. More info PLS! It would accelarate and corner like king but its high speed stability cant be up to much, can it?! MK2 for the aerodynamics win!

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

This sounds like the rear / mid engined one that has been posted up on here a few times. That would also explain it's ability to lift the front wheels

It's not Chris todd's rear engined space framed one, there are only two other kicking around from memory.
Deffo won't be front engined.

I'm still dubious about getting the traction to get the front wheels up on the street...

It'd lift the wheels easy if it's nozed up. ;D ;D I know I'm just an old boring git, but how the hell do young people understand what they're saying to each other? Surely punctuation and spelling are there for a reason? I've read that opening quote over and over again and I still can't quite work out what it says...maybe if the writer read it just once it might have saved us all the extra effort.

He'd have to be driving backwards hard to lift the wheels then! and faster than a cossie more nimble maybe. Edit: maybe he means a wild wheelspin, standard fiestas spin up easy enough, nevermind a tuned up thing!

Fiestas without decent suspension mods almost take off under hard acceleration. I went the adjustable spax route on mine which stopped that crazy dance almost completely. After that I could beat a 911 off the line. Honest

No, CAKE will only give you a serious case of czech neck, even CAKE cant make a FWD fiesta beat an SL500 merc and a cosworth!
Sounds like some chavs using some serious over exaggeration!
