How easy was that! Volvo 760 estate, 2.3 turbo intercooled, manual with overdrive. 146,000 miles. How much do you reckon?

Yup! a big fat zero. ;D Not a trade in though , a guy I know who does recovery services aquired it because he wants the reg plate for his recovery truck, now to swap reg numbers the donnor car has to be m.o.ted which this isn't. So I basicly have to get it through an m.o.t, swap reg numbers and then I get to keep it. So far it needs a windscreen and a ball joint and thats it. Oh yes and a dam good clean/polish. Obviously it will get some lowering springs as well if I can't handle the boat like nature I can't get too carried away though as it's only a short term owership as I need to get cracking with a Sapporo or two.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

2.3T, MOD & just 146,000? Absolute bargain!!!! That will have at least another 150K left in it*. Body looks good too. However, if you want to keep it long term, probably worth makjing sure it's well rustproofed, as the front floor, and innerwings / chassis rails have been known to rot. Being a Volvo though, it's taken about 20 years for this to start happening, rather than just 5 or 6...... *I recently drove a friend's C plate 300K 745 2.3 and aside from a couple of ciggie burns , the interior was in very good order, good body & paint (aside from knocks etc - no visible rust) and it went very nicely. I'm mega jealous, but can't afford to insure a 700 yet - swmbo also vetos them as she thinks they look like hearses

Bargain.
Was only talking about Volvos and the Ipswich connection today with RWelfare, how there used to be the big import compound there. Always wondered if it was coincidence or some ploy by the importers that lots of the taxis in town were Volvo. Watch out you don't get some confused/drunk maddo trying to hail you for a lift home.
Nice pic's of the old car!
