The Amazon is painfully beautiful, completely gobsmacking Streetrod is cool too, nice touches and colour but let down by the steering wheel somewhat! Some saturday inspiration there for sure DP

The Camo should be an option on the C30, very cool.
The Amazon is just the finest modified car I have ever witnessed. The interior really has finished it off for me.

Amazon....... Nuff said The others are very cool too..... especially the Camo C30 ;D Big rims and raised ground clearance.... sort of a mini Sports MPV for the X-games generation ;D For a modern car I like it ;D

steb in da house: The Camo should be an option on the C30, very cool.
What I have heard from a source at Volvo "winter camo" will be an option on all 4 wheel drive Volvo during this winter here in Sweden and The US, it's stick on film on silver or grey cars so if you get fed up it can be removed, we'll see about that......
DP says: The Amazon speaks volumes of the quality of Swedish "garage-car-builders"......

I'd like to see the P1800 he did. On the Amazon - "BBS lemance" wheels The gullwing doors on the ipd car are totally, stupidly pointless with the standard door frame. Phil

Looks like they're pursuing that ambition with these cars

The Amazon just gets better and better each time I see pics of it. A totally awesome car and an inspiration to us all. Incredibly clean and simple but with the highest standard of engineering to back it up. Pretty depressing really 'cause it just means that my efforts will appear dire in comparision. :(Must try harder. ;D

Ahhh i was wodering how log it would take. Seeing as ford have been using volvo parts for the new focus st i had always thought that we would then see a new small volvo. Its obviously exactly the same as the focus under the skin.

I went to Sema this year, it was the most amazing car show I have ever been to, and i've been to a few. It covered 27 acres of floor space. I have loads of pictures too so i'll try to post some up when I work out how to post loads at one go.
I met Charlie from American hotrod and Overhaulin fame aswell as Matt Neal who was there promoting Rimstock wheels. He was saying that the sema people are trying to bring the show format to the UK. He also explained that at the Autosport show in January ther are 4 aftermarket wheel manufacturers attending at Sema ther was 241, it put the to shows into context really.
The show is for trade only, its put on for parts producers to show case their goods. Most of the cars on the stands are built to pull in the buyers into there booths. However there were alot of show cars too.
After the show I spent another two weeks in the US, I did a lot more stuff including visiting Russel Mitchell at Exile Cycles, Chip Fooses shop in Huntington beach (i was suprised to find that it was smaller and messier than my 'shop in Suffolk, but the cars in ther were mind blowing) and I made a visit to Boyd Coddingtons, who, in my opinion, is the daddy of the hotrod sence. I met a few members of staff there including Dwane and his ex-wife Diane. My daughter and her got on like a house on fire.
All in all, it was trip of a life time...... i'm going next year aswell

Great story MantaA, great thread dp....well done chaps!
When you put the words SEMA and Volvo togather, you know that the thread is gonna have THE Amazon in it, even if it's just another repost (unlike this thread!) it's worth a few minutes drooling.
That Volvo is the epitomy of classic modification as far as I'm concerned.
