Think is even if it stretches to over a grand - might as well still buy it - as getting an engine conversion for less than that is still an unlikely happening (including all the bits). And all the hard work's been done, which being at uni I cannae do at the moment! (damned motorsport department not letting me have the space ;D)

Hope not. Even Phil's Stag-engined V8 Sprint was only asking 4 grand and that was a beautiful piece of kit. We shall see. I can't afford 3-4k so I hope not ;D OH! Look what I found on Loot Sounds like it's a good price....

I'm sure I've seen this red one up for sale before at like £5K asking price. I may have dreamt that though. Have you asked him what his reserve is? If he has a price to end early? Every other person on the planet will have already asked him so why not join them...

Well like I said - in the auction it says "Advertised elsewhere". That 1525 quid price is off Loot - so it's deffo up for grabs outside!

Hmmm Red one does seem tempting but something endears me to the blue one. I dunno what I'd do. I think I'd probably go off and buy something completely different LOL

Both do. The red V8 one is tax'd and test'd till March There (was) a Stag V8 engined Dolly, except we bought the engine out of it (having a TVR V8 AJP in it at the moment, almost done!). I was going to put a Rover V8 in one, but for 1500 quid, well, I couldn't even get most of the bits/labour/whatever for that much! With the red one it's been converted and used for a year, almost - so obviously is useable, at least. My friend Adam has a BRG one with an RV8 and he reports it to be a fantastic conversion, hence the addiction to get one ;D He also said the only clearance issues were with the oil filter, alas his has a remote conversion fitted now Does 60 in second in no time at all and 100+ in 3rd from what he says (not sure if it's true tho )

Sorry to drag this PITA back up to the top Well...still keen on it but getting increasingly dubious - have had no pictures or contact details/info other than what I've posted so far.... I just thought that there's no way you can run a V8 ( or anything else for that matter ) without a fan! Assuming you could keep it cool on the move as soon as you stopped all hell would break loose; head gaskets and warped heads aren't just confined to Triumph V8s....so it couldn't make the journey back anyway...I think. Although saying this, several people have told me that they've run cars without rads for long durations of time, even Sprints. What's your opinion on this? Got a day to go, at a grand atm reserve not met. Still keen, but uneasy Maybe it's cheap for a reason?
