Uh...oh.........Obviously my brain is releasing 'car buying' endomorphines as well as 'good vibe' ones tonight........ And just in time, I've stumbled on this: Why hello there! It IS tested, it DOES drive.......but I can't help feeling it might be a bad move. I'm feeling a little lacking after selling STM as it was such a fun noisy machine and I can't afford to do a V8 conversion at the moment.....maybe this would be a suitable stop gap? However. STM cost me almost double what the car cost itself to buy in parts to get it road legal and then didn't really work either. Please just tell me it's not a good idea. It's so cheap, too Although I know the engine may not be the most tuneable I bet you could get some great noise and torque out of it.... I can't even go and look at it, so it'd be totally blind. Sheffield, methinks.

personally i wouldnt, unless penny pincher cheap. cant confirm cam (ie don't know spec) would need proper brakes, and if not confidence inspiring handling, will put you into a very expensive looking heap in a field.

Hmmm, interesting. Essex makes a good rumble and they can be tuned. Don't expect it to be high RPM screamer ever though. I had a 3.1 Essex in a 100E and it felt a lot faster than it was. How far forward is it, they are heavy lumps.
Sheffield y'say... Probably too far for me to go take a looksie for you, anyone else up that way?
I'd buy it.
But then some of the junk I'vebought, thats no recomendation.

I admire a man who will buy a car based on one twenty foot postage stamped sized shot and a photo of 'an engine' ;D
Not that I did that with the green Sprint, nooo....(they were out of focus as well ;D)
And that was one of the better ones I've bought ;D

It does look a bit thrown together but it all depends how much it goes for. Would i give fifty quid for it? Yes. Would i give a grand for it? No. Anything in between is maybe ;D

Oh it's considerably less than a grand!
Methinks it may eBay quite well, too, if I stuffed it up. Another bad thought, god-dammit brain, working against me tonight ;D

No. Anything in between is maybe ;D exactly. bought a 106 blind as well with 3months test. changed the insurance over (was only 20 ok?) too before i even saw a pic, and then drove for 2 hours over mountains to get it

Actually now you mention it I can see it's not been properly painted.....missing some weather seals, important bits like that. Fuel pump looks like it's deluging everywhere too.. Maybe I'll pass and wait till I just do it myself 'Coz in this instance 6 is still 2 short Asking price is 650 but it's a desparate sale so I reckon maybe 500 would have it. I don't know much about it atm tho besides what I posted.

Get it then you can buy my low compression Essex and turbo or supercharge it. Its on Ebay £20 start. I bought a white 200sx pic had it parked in a snowdrift covered in snow. After the Stella induced haze wore off I realized I'd bought an auto. Went to collect it and had to drive 60mls further to his mates too pick up. Got there it was a manual, Result. The car now resides in Telford at a good home.

GET IT!!!!! If you can get it down to 500ish then it's worth a punt. You'd get it back in bits alone should it come to the worst. It's already lowered - bushes are simple swaps if needed and they handle quite well - I love mine to bits. Rear wheel drifts aplenty with that torquey lump...... ;D ;D ;D ;D Only caution I have is that I'm sure I saw it up for sale a few months back....... so maybe it's being punted around (?). In the words of Brucey - are you happy with what you got or would you like to gamble? ??
