buy 1970s leyland atlantean double decker bus. refurb ally panelling where required. overhaul the engine. strip the seats out. then... paint it metalflake green. try to aquire some blinged up wheels or trims. downstairs, fit some lazyboy armchairs, leather couches,a mini bar for the guests, mahoosive plasma tellys, dvd players and games consoles. upstairs, make 2 bedrooms, a little kitchen and a luxurious living area. of course this all depends on whether the euro lotto comes up. ;D otherwise il be giving the 230 some bodywork love. BEAST! Lowestoft-built at Eastern Coachworks (ECW) with white window seals and 'leaf' pattern formica trim (no, I'm not an anorak, my bro-in-law worked there and so did hundreds of others.....)

Anyway, winter projects:-
1) Strip 1.3 SDL of anything worth keeping/selling and weigh the rest in
2) Finish and MOT the Ital estate, then sell/keep depending on finances...
3) Rebuild and fit TR7 engine into Marina GT coupe for next years shows, maybe tidy paint/interior.

Finish the chevy, needs exhausts finishing, fe little stupid bits of welding then paint (probably old skool grey primer race look for now) 3. Finish the upgrade on the old Suzuki GS550 to bandit engine, wheels, brakes. 4. Keep the 2CV running OK as daily driver. 5. Make a start on one of the dyanes, one needs not much other needs lots, problem is i favour the one that needs lots.

1.Get the Trd lsd i'm chasing from NZ then fit the thing. 2.Get onto Brigg springs (i'm told they will make me some custom leaf springs) read stiffer and without lowering blocks but keep the current height 3.Get fuel system fitted ready for bike carbs 4.Fit and tune bike carbs 5.Strip spare 4K engine take to "mad professor" mate with these: and a few other bits (we spoke last week he muttered something about 9000rpm grinned and wandered off ;D) 6.Fit head unit and speakers so i can have some tunes on the way to shows Probably will not be in that order but hopefully all bar the engine build will be done over winter and the engine done in the first 6 months of the year.

Hmmmm.
Once JonCedric has done the bodywork on the 75, I'm taking it off to a local trimmer (who does 'Pimp My Ride UK') to have the seats stuffed with new foam and headlining replaced.
So, there's stuff happening, but it's beyond my skills or facilities available to do it myself. I also don't have time, 'cos my mother is coming to live with us for a while, too.

My first and most important job is to weld up the front bulkhead on my Viva after finding mucho plenty fiberglass and holes I can get my fist through. Then it's a case of seeing what other horrors I can find. If all is ok then a change of engine, box and back axle is called for with a bit of a slam over 7 x 13's and having a bash at making a full cage and painting the roof and wheels in black metalflake. Hmmm!!! Is this one winter or can I spread it over a couple???

buy 1970s leyland atlantean double decker bus. Nooooo! My dad used to work on those old Atlanteans - at GMT Hyde Road depot in Manchester - it was their repair depot and he was foreman in charge of bodywork and interiors. I'd quite like to own one like this: I *think* we still have a roll of the old brown / orange velour they used on the seats somewhere in the shed at home.

Finish off the repairs on my rover 220 I picked up on saturday. Got the front end stripped and straight just waiting for a couple of bits before rebuild and paint. Once thats done move the other 220 in the garage to finish breaking it, then I have the same rse on as I had this weekend with the trailer and A-frame. Bring my old disco in the garage for some welding, prior to MOT. Bit of bodywork to sort out on my primera. Sell rover 220 no.1, scrap no.2, sell disco no.1 sell primera and then buy another daily chugga to replace that. This will have me back down to 10 cars which I promised the wife I would be by xmas. Bring the AE82 into the garage for resto (plan to start this by 2nd week december at latest) Then at the minute its a toss up between bringing my piazza in for repair or bringing my MK2 essy in for full resto. The essy is a lot more work but it is getting rapidly worse were its parked at the minute. Once those are done then start on my mk1 escort resto but I will probably clear the other half of my garage before starting that. At some point I want to rebuild all suspension on my Monza (poly bushes/dampers etc.) and do a bit of welding but this will depend on available funds (for the suspenion anyway). There may also be another Monza appearing at mine over the winter for an inner wing rebuild but just waiting to hear back from the owner about that. No doubt there will be a few more cars appearing and disappearing over the coming months as well.

2.Get onto Brigg springs (i'm told they will make me some custom leaf springs) read stiffer and without lowering blocks but keep the current height There's a leaf spring place down here in the shadows of Wembley stadium that both myself and Jonny 69 have used that can make pretty much whatever you like in case you need to find somewhere else for some reason.

Good to see there are plenty of plans going on, it's pretty impressive stuff when you look at just how much productivity is intended... I'm going to sell virtually everything I own, then leave the country with a laptop and a camera. Scouring the earth for the coolest retro finds ;D
