Thomas, you're brave/stupid ;D I haven't actually thought about the cost side yet. I'll mull it over and PM you tomorrow Obviously would be looking to put test on it before selling, even if it means some less than pretty sill work! There's no rush anyway. It isn't going anywhere or costing me anything where it is. Substandard, sometimes focussing on other stuff first means I can come back to this sort of thing with more time, facilities and enthusiasm than I have now

Well if it has to go anywhere then The Doc' would be a good safe bet! Thomas - if you do go for it - let me know and we'll make a road trip of it. Ben - apologies for not getting to see you more over the weekend. Was busy collecting bits, having my bumpers swapped out and generally catching up with too many people in too short a time. Hope all is well in the world and I'll drop you a line via PM. This IS a lovely little motor, I'd be another to tell you to crack on with it - but if time is as scarce as mine has been with my little one over the last 2yrs then I completely understand your situation. And we both know - Thomas would make you proud if it went his way ;D Good luck - whichever way you throw the dice fella. John

Thanks for the kind words, John It was a hectic weekend all round. Loads of people I didn't see at all that I wanted to so I was glad to catch you for a couple minutes. You have a pretty good idea of the situation. My work, my partner's work, a 7 month old with no outside childcare help and frantically saving to be able to move house leave very little in the way of time, money or motivation for toys. Thomas, I still haven't PM'd you. Will do that now. Anden, getting it on the road is just a case of melting some metal where there are currently some holes, fitting a new set of balljoints (already purchased), finding a replacement carb and setting the timing up properly. I don't especially want to sell it and it won't do any harm sat where it is for now, but it would be better if it went to a good home. And have you seen Thomas' Toyota? It would be in excellent hands

I hope you're out driving this shouting "I don't need an MOT" through a loud hailer.

Hi All, Definitely selling now. I've had no time, nor inclination to find time to play cars and I need some cash for a biggerer daily. It's in it's exact MOT failed state and so although now MOT exempt it needs those fail points rectifying, as well as the replacement carb fitting and the timing set once it's fuelling properly again. £400 will take it including any bits that I got with it and have acquired on the way. PM if interested.. Otherwise, I'll go and compose an eBay ad and chuck it on at 99p

Of course you can pass a car as furniture, you can sit in it. I hope it finds a happy home, unfortunately I can't help either, much as I'd like to.
