Now those pictures (and vehicles) are ace!
Didn't go this year as I was so disgusted with last years fiasco - claimed it was a 'classsic car show' yet it felt like there were more NEW cars attending than what is at a dealership forecourt!
This year it looks like it was a show for old cars, GOOD!

Riley RM mate, not sure exactly which series. Theres RMA, RMB, RME which are 1.5 and 2.5 litre and theres a roadster/cabrio version which I reckon is probablt called the RMC series. Sweet cars. I regret not buying a really really solid one locally for £1500 about 10 years back. You can guess the prices of a nice one now.

Great pics & thanks for sharing! Agreed - they're great cars, but a bit underpowered in 1.5 litre form. However, the 2.5 will crack 90, cruise at 70 / 80 & is very much on my wish list ;D Really good RMs are expensive mainly due to the cost of restoring the body - the wood frame, steel panels, wadding & fabric roof all rot very nicely & are a pain to sort out. This one is a 1.5 (RMA / early RME) as it has a dark blue radiator badge & running boards. 2.5 saloons (RMB / RMF) have a light blue badge, & late RMEs have no running boards, restyled wings & rear wheel arch spats. The RMC was the 2 / 3 seat roadster & the RMD the 4 / 5 seat drophead - both with the 2.5 engine. The 2.5 has a longer chassis to accomodate the bigger engine (as also used in the first Healeys). There were also numerous coachbuilt variants too (dropheads, saloons, woodies etc) available on either chassis. The Pathfinder, the last Riley to use their classic twin cam was coded the RMH (the RMG being a still born 1.5 version).

I thought it was bit mixed tbh
Getting in was a farce, with the bike show AND Jemery Clunksons MPH show on at the same time it took me over an hour to crawl from the M42 to the parking, by which time the temp needle in the golf was in the red and the car was gently steaming (who says only retros overheat!!). Infrastructure couldn't really cope.
Most of the stands were good though some were guilty of stretching the definition of classic car, the merc owners club stand comes to mind, I don't really count a 1995 merc saloon or a 2006 coupe as classic and behind us were a pile of US trucks including some Hummers and a dodge thing. So could do better there.
On the plus sides plenty of interesting cars. had to go and sit down after seeing a stonking white RS2 on the audi stand and was just recovering when I spied the Delta Stradale on the Lancia stand. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOf
Note to self I must must must get an RS2

Thats the one. Too many stickers, dice and chromey wheels etc. for my tastes. It looked absolutely stock on the outside when I built it.
That was a total animal to drive as well.
Maybe I shouldn't sell my Ventora...
