OK bit of a long shot really. I am looking for a volvo on ebay but you know how it is, it just don't move fast enough some times. I am hankering after a nice Wentworth Estate.

You could always take the Jeremy Clarkson approach (as on the TG £100 challenge). Make yourself best buddies with the guys at your local Volvo main dealer, and when they get one in p-ex for a nice new V70, you may be able to snap it up before they punt it out to auction. You are more likely for this to happen with a Volvo as customers are a bit more "brand loyal" and any self-respecting labrador owner will probably now view their Wentworth as a bit long in the tooth..... It's a bit of a long shot, but you might just get lucky...  |

LOL that's a fair plan!
I'm just keen on buying a car off a forum realy, usually because the owners are competent on the net and can give you the full rundown on the car, plus if they are a member of a forum they are probably an enthusiast. And of course you can seacrch through all their old posts to spot any major probs LOL!

Read the Autotrader, rear wheel drive Volvos are everywhere and cost curse word all fortunately enough. The ol' man has three just now (1988 740gl saloon, 1991 940se turbo saloon, and 1996 940cd 2.3 saloon, the newest one is now the daily driver, since he passed the last 740 on to another member of the family) and is on the lookout for a tidy 960 saloon at the moment, but I can't see him selling any of his fleet.
