Like this. I think it must be the colour but I like that it looks like a 70s one rather than a mid 90s one. It could be the 60/70's mk1 grille and bonnet, made a massive difference to the look of the car when I changed them over |

I felt the door pulls cluttered up the door too much and were at an annoying angle so I got rid of them, I just pull the door by the frame now  Tom I see, did you think about the drop down ones? Otherwise, if it works, keep doing it :-) What are you going to change? It looks awesome as it...!! Drop down ones? Never seen these, sounds interesting... And shhh all will be revealed |

What an ace little mini, hats off to you for all the work you've done.
I went Hull uni too, whatever you do don't be tempted to take the Mini there! The car thieves were merciless. In a shared house of 4 lads, all of us had our cars broken into nicked or joyridden at some point during our time there.

What an ace little mini, hats off to you for all the work you've done. I went Hull uni too, whatever you do don't be tempted to take the Mini there! The car thieves were merciless. Thanks means a lot! Wow cheers for the link, a few of us have spoken on a classic mini forum about whether or not this is a myth, haven't seen/heard any first hand experience until now, nice one. ...Now is it Quality Streets or Roses that have the ones with clear-green wrappers? |

Have you thought about getting a stick-on plate for the front? Might keep plod a little happier and tidy it all up a bit.

Might keep plod a little happier and tidy it all up a bit. Do it! You'll never get away once you're bitten by the bug though... I've thought long and hard about a stick-on plate, but it always comes down to taking it off for shows for a really clean smooth look. I can just cut the cable ties off, but a stick-on one would have to stay, so I'd rather it look a little worse on the road and then have it looking as best as possible at shows with no plate at all |

Hey, you have done some cracking work here, your mini looks absolutely great. Nice one. Did you paint the underside as well? Just wondering what you did to keep the rot at bay in future. The whole underside was coated in some thick black rubbery underseal when we got it, and having seen how well it had protected under the wings when we removed the coating to respray under there, we made the decision to leave the original stuff in place as it gave consistent coverage over the whole of the underside so the metal has never seen water or dirt. If it ain't broke, don't fix it! |

And shhh all will be revealed In the photo you can see the door pulls on the left and right-hand sides, the silver bit is screwed to the door and the black plastic bit drops down out of the way... Mind you, I realise now there are two different orientations of interior door pull, the angled one and the horizontal one, hence these drop-down handles might only fit doors with horizontal interior door pull handles, I had them on mine... I'm sorry I've made a terrible job of explaining myself but I hope you (kinda) get the idea... This pic may help, drop down door handle on the left of the photo, dropped down! sorry it is all a bit black...  |

the only thing that lets it down for me is the number plates
for the rear i would go for one of those big plates that fill the whole gap
for the front.......i don't know maybe a square plate on the grill

As mentioned i would have kept the bumpers, also not a huge fan of the window stickers, but i could live with the lack of bumpers and the stickers are a personal thing so i'll shut my face  Except to say cracking Mini and great work |
