Managed to get the number 1 house seamstress to help with the trimming of the door pod. Gave the pod a fabric layer first, whether thats a good idea or not remains to be seen tho... Then the alcantara was cut out, stitched up one side and placed over the pod And I'm currently trimming the excess off and screwing the pod to the door card

So yesterday was spent trimming the material and attaching the pod back to the door card. Whilst in the process of doing that, the Ford vinyl was coming off the recycled cardboard door card. So some trim spray was squirted on there, and several of mothers clothes pegs borrowed to hold the material over the door card whilst I set to trimming the door pod and fixing that in place. Was also on a time limit for tinkering yesterday, as I was meeting friends at the Smoke Shack in Ashford at 5. Thankfully the door cards aren't that difficult to fit back on, even if the door membrane needs replacing Not the best trimming job, and the spray glue was a bit thick in a couple of places, but over all I'm happy with the first pod

Pods look nice! I did something similar only in the kickpanels. Glasfiber casing coverd in foam and vinyl. PS. Pics were from when the car was a work in progress, never mind the dirty floor

Just realised it was a week ago I went out in the battle bus to have KFC at my friends house and have a man night that the 4 of us hadn't had since February! Started off with going to my school friends house first, order the KFC online then both of us could head down in to the Marsh land of Kent Parking was at a premium at KFC, so the space was made the most of to both park up... Once that veritable banquet was collected, we were both off to Ivychurch at a very moderate speed indeed! No chicken was lost, and I certainly didn't have to wrestle with the steering that was very low on fluid

So today I had a new tool turn up So now I can properly terminate the amp wires instead of just twisting the wire and screwing it in Past weekend I managed to get the drivers door back together. Need to source new furry rubber trims for the top of all the door cards, and when the outer drivers door skin is replaced i shall renew all the weather shielding as well Makes the passenger pod look a tad sad now tho

Huh, I didn't realise you were a Kentish man (or is that a Man of Kent?). Or are you an interloper like me? Passenger pod still looks a million times better than the gaping holes I have in my Fiat's doors where I removed the speakers the PO had installed... Definitely looking good

It is rather limited but I can read error codes etc.

So today I got home home from work and there was a white parcel waiting for me... Wonder what it could be I think the DHL delivery person may have grumbled a fair bit, as it weighs 33kg And isnt the easiest package to manoeuvre about!

I would guess that’s it’s probably something for your rear end, but I didn’t expect Kentish post- lockdown bog roll to be so heavy....🤣🤣

The mother of all subs to go with your door speakers? Well, funny you should say that, as I upgraded the sub in the boot many years ago from a Kenwood dB+ series 10 inch to an SPL Dynamics (The old Kenwwod is on the left )

Sorry for the lack of updates for an age! Just been busy or having some quiet time after manic days at work Haven't finished off the passenger door pod still, but i have finally mounted the fuel cutoff switch at long last And finally bit the bullet and got some new headlight bulbs Which were a bit of a faff to fit in the headlight bulb retainer, mainly due to the size difference

eurogranada since fitting them last weekend, I haven't been out in the car yet. Flat battery issues and the dash is currently apart. I did use the headlight beam setter at work to check pattern, and light output tho! Shall add those pics on here later tonight possibly
