anyone had this done to help get a car really low?
fancy dropping the 'rado 80mm but I'm gonna need some arch fettling....
the problem i forsee is the bolt in arch panels (does that makes sense) that shield dirt off the arch bodywork.....
is it expensive, anyone recommend a good company in london village perhaps?

R-tec in st albans are awesome with rolling arches - they were two years ago at least.
However i would think that the lip of the arch wouldn't be your problem with that much slammage. More likely to be he hactual top of the inner arch.

Whatever you do don't go to Xtreme in harlow - last time i saw a friends set of arches it was all over the shop. I think the work experience boy may just be sent out to get handy with a lump hammer.

or alternatively if you have an 'a1 muppetspares' ......... sorry motorspares ;D near you they hire out an arch roller fro £23 for a day with £100 deposit myself and bodie&doyle put it to good effect on the rear arches of my 3.0 capri so i could fit my 8x15 steels. once you get the hang of it it's not too bad just worrying how much the wing bows out while you are doing it ;D ;D

what is arch rolling, i don't mean to sound thick but i havent heard the term before It's rolling the sharp lip that stick out of the wing - so it creates more space horizontally for wheels.

With regards to arch rolling (and this IS from my own experiance so do not take all as gospel) I find that newer cars providing you heat the paint/arch first (NOT BURN!) that sometimes you will get away with rolling the arch with no cracking of the paint. I emphasis SOMETIMES as even then it may crack. With regards to older cars and home resprayed cars I find the paint WILL crack regardless of amount of heat due to older paint finishes not being as 'elastic' so to speak.
I rolled the rear archs on a Friends sons Fiesta (and then he never fitted wider wheels in the end ...waste of time!) but as car was being resprayed was not bothered about cracking paint so what I did was cut with a hacksaw every 2inch (1 inch for two tight curves) or so into arch lip and then hammer up lip with rubber mallet (after cleaning any unseal/junk from inside of lip).
Finally with regards to rear wheel arches do not be tempted to get the angle grinder out and take the lip off, if you do this you have in effect removed the spot welds as well and thus your outer rear wing/arch will not be attached to inner wing/arch in that area

That idea for cutting every couple o inches the lip seems a decent un - think i'll try that with one of the rats.
curse word paying 20 notes+ for each arch.
*goes off to find hacksaw*

^ But please remember you will have to repaint lip/arch area afterwards (hacksaw cuts= bare metal).

& also presumably rustproof thoroughly, as the new angle of the wheel arch lip is now perfect for retaining mud, water salt etc....
