Well I haven't updated this for a while have I! Cars still going strong, flew through its last mot with no problems had popped a 2.0 back it and ran it for while, Then came across a nice 2.1!! Got that, popped it in with a FR22 cam and fitted it up with the Twin DHLA carbs. Set up on the rollers and now it it goes very very well!! Big smiles all round!! Also decided that as the bonnet and front wings needed doing anyway that I would go with the Cortina XR6 interceptor style paint work. Found some images on the web and went from there. Decided to refit the deep steels that I had on it before rather than run it on the Mondeo alloys. Anyway have some piccies! Frankie My youngest son Callum getting busy with the carbs! Ideas car!

Glad to see it back on the road and looking so clean! How easy is swapping the seat frames over? Just unbolt the cortina seats from the frames and bolt in the recaros, straight swap over. 4 10mm bolts and away you go! Drivers seat is six torx bolts though. Bolt up as per cortina seats. Frankie

The axle decided to blow the planet gears out the other weekend on the way to a show! Not impressed, however my Dad was following in his 2.3 ghia MK4 and carried on to the show with my son, glad he did as he met a guy who happened to have a spare and was willing to deliver it that night! Changed it Over the next day and back on the road! A week later one of the prop donut bolts decided to shear off so changed it for a half cortina half capri one. No more rubber donuts to break for me! However, after fixing that, the speedo cable decided it would be a good idea to snap at the gearbox end, grrr!!!! eBay visit and one cable now on its way!!! Time to change the oil and filter now it's all run in, Goes like a skinned rabbit dipped on salt and I haven't re tuned it yet! Replaced the rear shoes so the hand brake works properly now which is always a bonus!! Still contemplating putting the lowered springs back on. So we shall see how it goes.

Aww man! Gutted!! Moved this on last year. Knew the guy had sold it on and it had been moved on again then scrapped. Too far gone to get back on the road apparantly.

Frankie Apparently the yard owners (based in Leicestershire) are old car friendly and are sticking it on eBay soon. Doesn't look like it's been treated well since you moved it on - apt ax and mot ran out mid 2014.

It is Glenfield motor spares - the scrapyard pictures from Facebook are mine and were taken last week. He has stated that it is to go on Ebay at some point soon. A couple of people did contact me for details to see if they could buy it before Ebay auction gets set up.
