Deciding what to do about shocks now. Any idea's about the best ones to use? I would imagine I would have to take in to account the lowering as I can imagine the rear springs coming out when the car is jacked up so maybe go for shorter ones??? if so which cars would I find suitable ones on?

I'm pretty sure mine stayed on the standard shocks. Never had any dramas with it, but I'm sure one of the experts will be along in a but to prove me wrong

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Well, at the moment, I think I am going to have to do the big ends. While I am there may swell give it a new set of rings. Happily, I have these already. Also I have been looking at twin carbs. Found a pair of dellorto's with manifold on eBay but got outbid! Have had to fit another head, valve seats and valves re-cut by a very good engineer friend of mine. It had BAD valve recession, so much that the adjuster for the followers was only in by about 2 threads! Consequently the cam munched itself. The other option is to fit a V6. nice big 3.0 or a 2.8 etc! It does go like the clappers though.

I'm getting bored again frankie give me some idea's before I start talking about swapping cars again Aaahhh don't get rid of it, think of the fun you will have irritating the unsuspecting people who won't think a cortina can go like wibblepoo off a shovel, stick to the road, and drift with the best of them!!! Get it built, do some track days and have some fun. Who knows I may even join you. Two crusaders giving it large!!! Sounds good to me. Frankie
