Project evil is no more, same car, dolomite 1850 but now has been superceded by project commercial sellout. Red Dolomite 1850hl with a mini cooper look to it, bonnet stripes white/heritage roof with a twist, 16 inch 6inch wide at the front, 7/8 inch at the back (minilites) I hope this clears things up for you guys, i have posted pics of the car b4, i don't receive the car until monday but it will be photographed fully and the results will be put on here, by either pog or myself. The steering wheel, though made will be reserved for another project when this one is done.

"Do your own thing so long as your thing is the same as everybody elses thing" Sounds a bit odd to me as well TBH, its probably one of those things when you see it you know it works - or not... Be interested to see this roof as well...

I'm waiting for the next thread...........
Project "get it on the road cheap - corporate sponsorship dried up"
Viewing the changes of direction with interest and amusment.
To be honest in my experience a project plan is exactly that a project plan - these things have a habit of evolving as they go along. It's pretty much going with the flow and accepting change will happen.

Russell, by all means do your own thing, but imvho it might be best to ask others' opinions / advice rather than keeping it secret. For example a photoshopped image can really help to see if it achieves the desired effect, or people might have pics of something similar which they can post up, to inspire you. I'm not suggesting that you only do what others like, but make sure that it is what you really want, especially if it's unusual or unique! In addition, I second BC's advice in another thread about MOT first. Finally, don't give up, and remember that despite some of the jokes , we do all* want you to succeed with this!! * with the possible exception of Pog ;D ;D

I've re-read both my coments threads back and a couple of others and in hindsight they do sound a bit negative........
However - it is out of CONCERN NOT out of RIDICULE
I love project threads and I have been truly amazed at some of the transformations done on this forum BUT
success breeds success
Taking on projects that are to big or too complicated doesn't help success and we want a car to drive at the end of the day not to languish on a driveway disolving before our eyes whilst we get little or no enjoyment out of using the vehicle
I always remember when I wrote of a motorbike in 1983 (nearly wrote myself off too) I dragged that sorry carcass through three house moves over 8 years of various stages of repair and rebuild before I finally finished it..... By which time I hated it and it was sold before I ever did a decent trip out on it - too much pain - too many wasted hours restoring something that really shouldn't have existed at all. Only a few parts remained of the original bike rear wheel, no' plate, one side panel, headlight, parts of the engine and carbs - It wasn't really the old bike at all.

It'll be more like old englishe white.
I reckon it could really hit it off with a mad contrast for the bottom half - p'aps the satin black you were thinking of.
Best of british with it and if you need any helper monkeys with it - shout!
