Well its nice to see that we are all open-minded enough to appreciate some modern cars & their design & not all of the attitude that 'all modern cars are rubbish'........ but then what else would I expect from you guys
I actually think that car design is as exciting both in terms of styling & engineering now, as it ever has been. That is not to say that I like the looks of all modern cars or that I agree with the the principles that some engineering solutions set out to achieve.
A large proportion of car design is still carried out here in the UK - its about all we have left of our car industry - lets just hope this side of it doesn't die off aswell
Mmmm - i'm not to sure on the Smart ForFour? I liked the principle behind the micro-sized two seater & the roadster & the modular styling seems to suit these two models. However I feel that the ForFour doesn't really break any ground in terms of innovation - it seems to try and sell itself with gimiky styling, which for me doesn't gel I think i'd prefer to save a couple of grand and go for the sharply styled Colt with which it shares its mechanicals.....
