Oooh... How modern is modern? I like the 1st and current MX-5. The one in between is so-so. Daihatsu Copen's are awesome. The current Suzuki Swift is pretty good. People are optioning them with mags and racing stripes here. Yes, it makes them look a bit like MINIs but for 3/5ths of the price (here in Oz). The Mazda6 wagon is cool. The Alfa 159 Umm...

I love the Vel Satis and Avantime. But I don't think Renault will go as quirky as that for a long time as they never sold in great numbers due to the total lack of imagination and individuality of the general new-car-buying masses That Jag is gash though. The shape I like (as far as moderns go), but that front end looks like it's fell out the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. Oh, and 300C - I like. I'd never own one as I'd be constantly swarmed by crack-heads, but I like the styling.

I like a lot of modern cars, like ratdat i dislike the pointless electronic gimmickery more than anything, and the weight of new cars really annoys me. so heavy.
a quick list of stuff that gives me the horn
all new bmw's (mini not included) honda accord renault laguna
hmm i run out of cars to list, its too difficult to remeber them all. i like a lot of modern car designs its late I'm going to shut up now.

Another vote for the Citroen C4 coupe, those things look great. I like the Swift's as well, especially slammed on some big rims. Most modern Alfa's look great. S2000's rock The Toyota Will VS is another one I'm particularly keen on, such an evil car, the high waistline looks so fantastic too...

I think just about everybody mentioned the Vel Satis!
Its an instant classic, we have the proof in this thread!
You know what annoys me about the 300C, is that everyone calls the whole range the 300C when it isn't. Theres even a local dealer advertising Chrysler 300C from £24,995. (V6 model). There is NO V6 300C. The V6 is the 300. The 5.7 Hemi is the 300C and the 6.1 Hemi is the 300C-SRT8. (although all Hemis may now be upgraded to 6.1 litre package but detuned?)

The back pf the jag looks good kinda following shape of that Coupe thing XK8 what ever it is. like these better than the old XJS. So IMO the back looks good, the bumper too, just those hyundai lights and lemon cucking grille. Jag saloons should be special, heavy looking and authorative. (words picked at random cos i'm still half asleep) This is a bit poor mans Aston and i like.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

For me it would be the Lotus Exige S, also the Elise I love too. Also I like the mk2 mx-5, driven the vvt one, really was very very nice to drive! Just a tad expencive, plus I have been in a turbo 1.8 pushing 200bhp, now that was fun!

Just as long as you sign away your home / life / soul etc. in exchange for 'just' 18.8% apr until the day you die....

I have to agree with the C6 - it's a stunning looking thing. I must have one in a couple of years when I'm on a placement year. Also the new Nissan Z rocks.

Her's one I like - Vauxhall Signum!!!! A Vectra with a stumpy ass and limo-rivalling rear legroom!!! Utterly pointless and therefore great. V6 diesel for me please.

and the new fiesta st isnt all that bad. Are you mad? Looks good on paper. But the sums don't add up. 2.0 16v 'lightweight' monster, yet it's still slower than my 16 year old car which is dimensionally bigger with 200cc's less? WTF!?? Plus they are largely driven by morons with ultra-fash semi-mullet hairstyles. c0x.

I can't say I like the new Fiesta. In fact I haven't liked any since the Mk2. I drove a new ST version a while back and wasn't that impressed - plenty of power to set the front tyres alight but c0ck all torque (relatively) where you need it. And I felt like a tit.

Can't say I like the Signum or the new Fiesta. Everything else I agree with. Here's a couple of others:- PT Cruiser (OK so I'm biased) Hindustan Ambassador Mitsubishi FTO New Focus Daihatsu Cuore Daihatsu Sirion (the last type)
By the way does anyone know what PCD the Smart Forfour uses, 'cos those wheels would look good on something retro.
