I just got Driver 3 for the PS2 and it has quite a few nice retro cars in there! None of them are exactly correct as I think they would get sued, but there's a Renault 5 (phase 1), loads of Yank metal (not very clued up on them), a Datsun 240Z plus loads of others... nice to play when the weathers bad or I'm sick of skinned knuckles! The Getaway isn't as good a game but has got "real" retro's - Rover P6, SD1, Jensen Interceptor, Range Rovers.... They must have asked the manufacturers! It's cool to thrash around in them and not worry about the panel damage or the coppers! Does anyone else fritter away their time on things like this, and if so what other games have some cool cars in them?

GT4 Prologue has a 510 in it ;D And an old Lancer, Celica and a Honda 9 coupe as well as a 240Z-G. The final version of GT4 will have dozens of old cars in it. I've got a modded version of Mafia on my PC. I've replaced all the 20's and 30's vintage cars with 60's, 70's and 80's stuff. I have things like a Kadette coupe, a Lada Niva, a Muira and a BMW 320 ...it's much better with those cars in it... especially as they all get damaged so you can beat the hell out of them in chases. I've also tweaked the performance just a wee bit too I have Rally Trophy but have never really got into it. Loads of old 60's and 70's cars in that.

I do lol, another game you might be interested in is Auto Modelistta, think thats a dodgy spelling, although many would say its only just an above average game it does have some of the coolest J Retro Cars ever although most of the Retro ones have to be unlocked, all the cars are also fully modifyable and last but not least the game is getting on a bit now so you should be able to pick it up really cheap!

I have Rally Trophy but have never really got into it. Loads of old 60's and 70's cars in that. Same here - it's great fun but reasonably difficult (not surprising as I'm playing it on a PC with just a keyboard). The difference in the handling of the cars is very noticable, and overall, I find the game is quite addictive! I must admit however, that I do much better in the Mk1 Cortina than in the Amazon... For just letting off steam, the original 'Driver' is great fun!! ;D

I like long walks, especially when they're taken by people I don't like.

Yes it's quite odd that they're all RWD. In Grand Theft 4 they have gone into the detail of whether a car is FWD or RWD. That's another game with retro cars in it: BMW's, Mercedes W123, Honda CRX..... top game!
