I absolutely love MK3 festers !!
Always wanted an RS Turbo but sadly never got around to owning one. But I did have the pleasure of driving an XR2i 1800 for a few months whilst working at a dealers. Fantastic car and as it wasn't mine it was the fastest XR2i on the planet ;D

How common under the skin is the mk3 to the mk4/5 and the Puma? I have it in my head that they are all based on the same floor/inner structures (and basic shell for the feza's) so it wouldn't be too hard to fit a puma 1.7 running gear into a base model mk3

Possibly the best one I've ever seen. Everything works so well on it.

My first car was a 3 door 1 litre mk 3 'lx' in white, I loved that car I fitted xr2i seats and bodykit and had some awesome old cloverleaf alloys on. but the engine went and it ended up being scrapped I think. I still have the xr2i sideskirts archers and boot spoiler in my shed.

Mk3 Fiesta's like most Fords are going to have thier time, do a quick ebay search now... Putting some effort into yours and getting up to original standard could prove worthwhile. I love the Mk3, doesn't seem like five minutes ago when they would litter every corner on my estate. There was always a faded red XR3 with blue door trims driving around near me, i used to long for it. I was devistated when i found out it had been sold for £300 and burnt out a week later.

They did also a Fiesta S with the 1800 Zetec (105hp) in it. Didn't had the bodykit. I liked the look of it. Potential candidate to replace the Micra if I can find a tidy one here. Or the 1.4 Gt with its weird front bumper
