Yeah last mot'd and taxed 2007, Weird thing is , I thought the last guy bought it after the mot and tax ran out and never had it running... But ive just got the logbook thru and he bought it a couple of months before they ran out.... So at the point he bought it , It had allready died some how while mot'd and taxed... Hope theres nothing drastic I'm going to discover...

SHE RUNS!!! coil turned up yesterday, But had to wait till i got back from work today to try it. Chucked it on. Primed the carb up and gave it a mouthfull off easystart and it went. Couldnt get it to idle but then realised thats because the throttle cable was off its stop, So everytime i let go of the cable (seized) it dropped the butterfly shut and killed the engine. Still , it starts off the button now Couldnt get any video as i had to use 3 hands to get it running... And it was bloooooody loud due to the lack of exhaust. ;D SOOOO i cracked on with it.. Wheel is crusty as hell.... Luckily i have that spare with the brand new michelin on it Rags to mop up the antrifreeze that poured out/ went in my eye De-grease time ;D AAAAWWWWWW

Well, Good news . The exhaust i won on ebay arrived.. VERY CHUFFED!!! i was expecting a chinese rip off pattern part.... Its only turned out to be genuine honda! Still in the original packet... With the welded on script on the side stating the regulations to DB ratings in the US... This thing is SOLID! it weighs a ton... The old one is extremely light in comparison.. Just goes to show how rotten the old one was. oH and the heatshield is on it too! another part mine was missing..

Love this, the first 125 scoot i ever rode was a spacey, I couldn’t believe the 80's pop up lights and digi dash...
Looks like you're doing a good job of it as well, should be a laugh when done..

The Internet, like all tools, if used improperly, can make a complete bo**cks of even the simplest jobs...

Haha, I'm supprised how many people remember em. Even today i went and got a new battery for it, And got told by the guy on the counter that he remembers em. And even had one in for an MOT a few weeks back... So theres another floating around here somewhere Had some progress since last update. As ive gotta get rid of the van, Ive been working on the bike more than taking photos of progress... Had to nick the throttle cable, brake cable and the water hard lines from the spares bike. As both cables were seized and the pipes were rusted off on the "good" bike... Which resulted in the spares bike looking like this after a hour ... But now the decent one looks like this: It had also just been running for the first time since putting the motor back in a couple of mins before these photos. ;D

Looks good, and the exhaust was a great find But surely theres a less restrictive option than the staqndard one? Or are you going for originality?

I was going to make one , But found a guy that made one in the states using J tubes from a beetle exhaust.
Actually made it slower by around 5mph... They top out at 55mph so i want as much as i can get. That and they are good for 130+mpg in standard form ;D

Well after all this work... Today has been a little bit of a downer.. I plumbed it all up, fitted the new thermostat housing from the states, And then got it running. The vibration i noticed last time it was running is still just as bad. I tried someone elses recomendation over removing the belt and rollers to eliminate the clutch/variator as a out of balance problem. Well.... It still vibrates.. I cant even get the revs high enough to pull away without thinking its going to shatter the handlebar plastics!!! Now I'm woried as ive heard the camshaft can cause these problems on elites.... (same bike american market) Oh the joy.. And ive found camshafts for sale. But to buy them i need to buy a bulk of 1000!!! from china

Well... Problem solved thank god Firstly I had to do this... Again This is what the pivot bearing/bush SHOULD look like (ish) This is what the left hand one looked like after I drove the whole sleeve out of the left hand crankcase and had to heat it and split it in the vice... ^^I'm not sure what the red stuff is! But it sure as hell isnt rust! I was heating the sleeve while forcing the centre out with a socket and bolt, And something popped like a crisp packet and caused a fireball to go from the vice to the rafters of the garage!!!! Around my head and somehow not igniting the wd40can or the gas torch in my hand!! After I checked I had my eyebrows still, I proceeded to fit new O rings and grease and re-asemble. GOOD NEWS!! it rides properly. Starts on the button, rides up the "garden" and all in all great I also fitted the new (used) thermostat housing that finally arived from sunny california, , i removed the stat for the time being as i want to be sure it all works as it should before seeing if that works. Old on the right with broken off end.....
