It does sound rather worryingly that you've stripped the thread on the bolt. Have you undone it at all, or have you just been turning it the same way all the time ? Unless you are the Incredible Hulk you wont have stripped the threads !! you may find that its just moved its just due to the fact of high compression of engine i work manufacturing cams, cranks, they can normally take over 250nm torque then the bolt will strip first |
