Hello, I'm from Belgium and new to working on cars. I have an old Nissan Micra and want to replace the front panel. So I purchased a replacement panel and started demolishing my front end even further. So far, I managed to break almost every bolt on the entire front end of the car and I lost or broke most of the plastic trim clips . Maybe I'm a bit weird, but I would like to use the exact same bolts as the original ones. 'Suppose I could get them from Nissan, but I'm hoping there is a cheaper alternative? I looked on the interweb, and so far I found only one kind of plastic trim clip.

...or this one: www.jetpress.com/I've bought clips from them in the past. Bag of 100 clips often works out cheaper than buying a handful elsewhere. I've bought fir-tree clips, panel clips, W-button clips and plastic rivets...all great quailty and all pretty good price too. Another option is to see if someone is breaking a Micra and could send you the bits?

I'm going to get some info from a local dealer on bolts. If it's not too expensive I would like to get the proper ones, new. I don't have much faith anymore in older Micra bolts to be honest. Purchased myself a drill kit today to remove all the snapped off bits.

Nissan are absurdly expensive for fittings. They can be had much cheaper online in America fom the likes of mynissanpartstore.com but they won't ship internationally. You should able to get them from places ike screwfix (still not cheap) and fixing suppliers. If you'e doing suspension don't get stainless, something like BZP steel (Bright zinc plated, usually high tensile) is better. Chuck that into google and see what you find.

I've also found this US site: www.srfast.com/images/Catalog%20PDF's/Nissan_Clips_Fasteners.pdf They seem to be offering clips and bolts as well.

Just thought it would be useful to expand the context of this thread. My front end was purchased from this company www.vanwezel.be/english/index.htmYou can't order from them directly, but you have to purchase from one of their clients. The part seems to be really good, although the seller took quite a large margin. Don't know about fitments yet.
