hahaha thought that might get you all to look anyway thinking about a 12 year old polo coupe thingy its red its a 1.3 it has BBS golf wheels on it, whats it worth and whats its potential, is L reg retro? really don't want to say good bye to the fiesta but kinda want something a bit newer i know ill regret it if i doo take the old fezzer off the road, but I'm trying to earn some money over the holidays id love togo for a 1.6 capri but then fuel tax and insurance will kill me, ive got a mk3 fiesta with a knackered engine but it will be slow and boring compaired to the mk1 so i cant see the point in wasting money on it so this polo seems like a good option..... nother quick question or...........carb or injected

Many years ago I changed my driving style to cope with rising fuel prices; I have now reached the stage where I am contemplating keeping my eyes shut in order to lower wind resistance.

It would invalidate his insurance so he would be driving without insurance; a crime in itself. More importantly, if he crashed into someone else, he would not have any insurance for the car, meaning that the other party would not be able to claim. *n

Top grammar tips! Bought = purchased. Brought = relocated Lose = misplace/opposite of win. Loose = your mum

for the time being id stick with the 1.3 but is it going to use loads more fuel than the fiesta and is it going to be much faster
id strip it plugs leads and filter

All my fiestas were over 1300 and bags of fun but rotted badly
The polo was only a 1000 and felt a lot slower and kinda better built. so its not a fair test. give it a whirl you never know, you might like it...
It shouldnt use enough fuel to worry about, the capri would though! just depends what you want need really.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

they're not all that slow.... 55bhp but don't weigh a lot, you can chip 'em to 60bhp for £30 if you ask on clubpolo.co.uk - they're geared right to be nippy so they feel alright to drive.
can always concentrate on styling - either take it euro with some dished alloys and drastic lowering, or ratlook.... depends on how good the paint is to start with! then once you've got cheaper insurance get the bike carbs on it (100bhp), or just get a G40 engine and plonk that in (120bhp-ish with filter and exhaust, up to 170 with decent tuning)
they're massively well built though, my 13 year old one has not a speck of rust on it and my old 1991 G40 only had a few panel scabs, nothing structural. they're not as 'retro' as the fezzer, they give off more of a 'second year uni student' feel but you can individualise it easily enough, either with bolt-on goodies or some subtle mods.

Id have the fezzer over the polo but thats just my choice. quite the opposite all i do is put fuel in it, in just over a year of ownership ive done a plugs change an oil change a clutch change and a points change......and wasted a load of money on alloys really liking the idea of the polo now but i don't like red cars so it wouldnt be too long before the colour scheme changes

You're b*ggered for VWs then, 95% (it seems) of water cooled ones are Mars Red or Tornado Red. I've lost count of the number I've t-cutted over the years
