Or maybe you can?! CaRS 2006 worked as an effective deadline for me, Having got the MR2 going and pimping the Sapph DD a little. Gonna try not collect tat and have the 3dr V8 MOT'd and at the show. Ideally it will have the makeover I have in mind but I'm not sure where the quids will come from! Vital bits are needed for the MR2 and Sapph so will show up in the MR2 half modded if I'm stuffed. ---- Ms reanimation is more into the 'tina than I had given credit for, she's talking of smooth paint jobs and interiors plus lovely retroid wheels! Go Girl. Whether its at the show in 2007 is another matter, she needs to pass her test, so it is a tall order! Go on what can we expect, this includes more international members making a visit too? it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Good news! I'd be tempted to go for the peach colour they put on some VW Polos, that'd work.... As for me, I may even drive to CaRS next year.. Doubt the long-term Sapph will be done, I'm out of enthusiasm ATM. So, it'll be Angela in the Escort (hopefully painted), me in the Fiesta or whatever retro-ish car I have at the time; My Mum's 2nd-gen Civic "Hondamatic" is in for an MOT today, I've got my fingers crossed it'll fail.... EDIT: Just remembered the Datsun 100A 4-door I MUST go and look at...needs a bonnet and rear light IIRC. You never know!

I will do my best to be there next time, missed it this year due to illness, enjoying all the pics though. I'll quite likely be in my Mk1 Golf which I hope will be restored by then, and be able to set a scorching (sub 30 sec) time on the strip ;D If not the Golf, then in whatever other retro tat I buy in the meantime

Hmmmm, promises....I'm not too good with those. I'm going to be there next year - I was so gutted that I missed this year as the previous two had been superb. As for what car I'm going to be taking.... well, I'd like to hope that the Benz will be there, and that I can get the stalled V8 project going again, even if it's without the turbo and MegaSquirt systems for the time being... or just the original 2.0 if all else fails

My aim is for the Amazon to be a bit less rusty, probably more 'non-speed' stickers ;D and possibly with those Cosmic alloy wheels I bought last year.
