BMW 750iL - £40 complete, but some parts off sprues. Includes second set of appropriate BMW wheels from a Fujimi 6 Series (wheels in the kit are undersized) & also aftermarket badging. If all parts still on the sprue, it would be a lot more! I don't understand my head - why would I want this!!!!

I will be buying my four new tyres from them too. And while there, I spoke to the manager, and decided to switch from the planned Bridgestone to a set of 4 Avon ZX7 in 235/60 16” 100H rated tyres. I preferred the tread pattern a lot more than the Bridgestone patterns. Weirdly, these are marketed as 4x4 tyres. I laughed a lot - The world is your oyster for that size in either van or SUV tyres - I know this very well as it's taken me a bloody age to get 4 235 65 16 tyres for a road car in W speed rating

Well done re the phone. That seems to have been the most pain in the derriere thing to sort. New SIM, or did you finally get vodafone to understand the issue and sort the existing one out.... New SIM in the end - Vodafone were kind enough to send me a new one in credit card mount after I pulled the old phone apart to see if I could do something with the sim card pickup contacts and I reckoned a new style sim should work provided it was in a credit card mount (sticking a nano SIM in a holder I had already tried and it definitely didn't work (probably due to less than precise location) Look utterly gorgeous by the way. It needs a good wash Rear parking sensors next to sort out - they've decided to be "awkward" Still got the issue of the bong for a door open but I know which one now and the switch is on the lock mechanism - various internet fixes have been tried (all failed) Just going thro real OEM to see if a door lock mechanism from a 5 series of the same age will fit a 7 series (happen to know where there is one that can be traded for beer) I went looking for something else in my study (box room with lots of bookcases and a PC) and found the original 7 series brochure I got years ago so that went in the "goes with the car box"

At bloody last Definitely needs spacers on the rear - they are way too tucked in compared to the staggered set Luckily I have a set of 4 and I only ever use 2 on the hot wash coupe

I wouldn't blast the wheels if I was planning on polishing them - that way lies a heck of a lot of work........ Every option seems to have pitfalls and problems. Shiny spokes and coloured recesses. What a pita. Just trying to give you the benefit of hard earned experience after I had 4 wheels blasted and then attempted to polish the rims up (which were polished before blasting) - I gave up after 1 rim reached an acceptable std after a week of evenings

Union 76 aerial toppers on my Beetle. Constantly stolen and a great way to have your aerial snapped off in the process. Good times. Oh and the classic 6x9's hacked into the parcel shelf. Standard. 6x9s - don’t think I ever owned a car without a set in the parcel shelf💪 6x9's - I know I have never owned a car with a set in the parcel shelf

Thats good to see,i wonder how many tyre fitters know about yellow dot placement? I think most should do but don't bother as it takes a little longer to get the tyre in the right place

Still not without the odd fault but it's getting better - once the wheel centres are here it'll look better It's nice when tyre fitters know you are fussy about the details (Yellow Dot placement) I think the rears need a spacer to make them fill the arches a little better as these rims aren't staggered

Looks a good size - personally I hate flat roofs - Any chance you can put a pitched roof on it (added benefit of some additional storage if you use decent spec roof trusses
Booked and marked for the journey

Just thought I'd post on here to make sure you are ok? It's like I'm fixing cars by osmosis and miss your updates on this beauty. Hopefully just the snow or wifey has given you the ultimatum to stop messing around with that sodding BMW and finish the bathroom. Stay Safe It’s finally on the 16’s with new tyres - so nowI need to stop driving it and finish the last few little jobs off - give it a wash and take some final pictures. I really should add up the costs too but I probably wont........
